Hi Guys, We wanted to let you guys know that the trial list for the historical faction will be the Imperial Japanese Army, plus a little surprise from one of the other Japanese factions. The OTW should be posted soon, next week at the latest. Barring the hideous amount of work for my job I've got to complete before I head off to GenCon We're all really looking forward to seeing people at GenCon. We're also looking forward to seeing what you guys think of the list. Our playtesters had a lot of fun with the Banzai rules and the detachment building options. We hope that you all enjoy it too. The Imperial Japanese Army will be in the next Darkson Designs expansion for AE-WWII: Black Reign.Black Reign will introduce players to the war in the pacific, jungle fighting and the first factions involved with the Japanese in the Pacific war. Included in Black Reign will be: 3 Japanese factions (IJA + two others), United States Marine Corps, Australian Military Forces and an expansion for the US Army and OORD. If you're at GenCon, feel free to chat us up about the next book at booth #2210. All the Best, A very tired Chris and the rest of the Darkson Designs crew

I really appreciate the understanding. I was up to 4 AM working, so it looks like the historic list is first thing on the agenda when I get back from Indy. I keep telling Rob that he has to win the lottery or something. Then we can all quit our day jobs and do this stuff full time ;D Send Rob a PM about playtesting. We are always interested in good crews of people to help out. It would be good to get people from other parts of the world too. I think you'll like the Aussies. They have some really cool sci-tech options and a few Aboriginal occult units. The Z-Unit guys are no joke either.

I can also say we did not include any kangaroo cavalry units when doing the AMF ;D
Honestly, I'm very eager to hear what you guys think about our take on the Australian forces in WWII. Actually, I'm also keen to know how the Japanese play once they're out in the field. They don't play like any other force currently available in AE-WWII.

Hot! Due to our battle challenge, we now have a pretty big following at our club for AE now. With a few more people interested!* So we look forward to some pacific love. We can even help with play testing (*I keep pushing ae-ww2 on everyone bwahahaha!) Best of luck at gencon guys. Have a grande time. Hopefully I will have enough pennies for next years Honestly, I'm very eager to hear what you guys think about our take on the Australian forces in WWII. Actually, I'm also keen to know how the Japanese play once they're out in the field. They don't play like any other force currently available in AE-WWII. Aboriginals using dream-time magicks? (if you use this idea I better get a mention in the rule book ) The aussies having good gorilla tactics? Kangaroos with hull mounted machine guns? Ok, now I'm getting a bit silly

HI Guys,
First post, but the Pacific expansion sounds great. My friend Michael an I wargame Pacific WW II. Michael also is a miniature designer and very much likes the Wired War too and so I'd be very interested in seeing how this develops and gaming this genre with Michael.
Cheers,
Helen

Thanks! We have big plans to do justice to the history of the pacific as well as the rich history pulp fiction written about the asian theaters.
The super smash event at gencon this year is giving people a little taste of the pacific already. It's a light hearted 2 scenario campaign to defeat a diabolic chinese fiend and destroy the doomsday device in his secret jungle lair. We'll be posting the scenarios after gencon.
Cheers,
Chris

I can also say we did not include any kangaroo cavalry units when doing the AMF ...because you're saving them for the next Over the Wire?

I can also say we did not include any kangaroo cavalry units when doing the AMF ...because you're saving them for the next Over the Wire? Heh. Sadly, no. But I am a fan of Tank Girl, so who knows what will end up in Bounty? The AMF list has been done for a while now, in final form for play testing for several months prior to this, so whatever is in it, is in it at this point.
