Might it be possible to create a PDF document (for sale or just for download) that compiles all of the detachments, heroes, Special Orders etc in one place?
Since you can't play the game with the detachment guide it might be a good prospect for a free download but as it stands there are a lot of options spread across the two books (haven't read Basra yet) and the OTW issues.
The idea being to have one place to go to in order to have all the options for building a detachment

I second that.
This would really be a handy "look me up". A pdf similar in style to the OTW would fit perfectly. You would be able to remove old stuff, implement new stuff as well as correcting old mistakes without having to go over a ton of different files too. Compiling the Errata and other important stuff into a single pdf would also be possible.

I like the idea, in general. It'd have to be updated pretty regularly, though, since each new book and OtW could bring in new choices.

Thanks! Why yes, I have some stat cards, hero template cards, Special Orders, and Secondary Objectives cards as well. I've used them for quite some time, but I'm reformatting them to get them a little more colorful. Also now there's more studio photos from Darkson Designs available. Anyways I was just about to upload some samples in the Resources section and it wouldn't allow any file attachments. So I'll post a sample here. Attachments:

I hope it wasn't me that caused this site to crash earlier today. Here's another page. Attachments:

I'm in the process of re-doing the graphics. I hope to have available stat cards, in the newer more colorful format, with either Darkson Designs graphics, my own graphics or some non-proprietary graphics included. Rob did give me the OK to do the cards and post them, I just haven't had time to get them all done yet.
Also I need to update the lists with the Basra 1946 stuff.

BTW guys. I've been contacted by Rob to start working on some official AE-WWII stat cards. So my work has been focused on updating them for these.
To avoid any confusion with the efforts going on, I will not be distributing my personal cards any longer.

Yay. That's some great news CmdrKiley. Looking forward to seeing them, any chance you'd be able to give us a spoiler on the format and design, sometime soon?

Well I'm not too sure on how much I can say about this project. I'd hate to have Darkson airdrop into my neighborhood and infiltrate into my basement just to remind me with a K-Bar of the non-disclosure forms I signed (worse yet Abbysdad's horde of trained ninja squirrels infesting my Aztek). However, they'll probably look very similar to what you see in the samples I posted earlier. Colors will vary with the faction however.
If there's anything you'd like to see included in the stat cards, please post them hear. We'd like to see what other ideas you may have.

The cards you so kindly sent me earlier, pretty much covers any eventuality I could hope for. But they seem to me to be too compact, and filled with too much information, that could be easier digested with a simpler way of doing them for the user. Not making your job easier though.
What I'd like to see is, the cards are scaled and of the same size as conventional gaming cards or like collectible card games. You could seperate the many different powers, hero types and choices into subdecks just like you would in a collectible card game. So that you don't have to find a single specific card from the whole pile that fits just the one option you're looking for. Just like GW did with their Magic decks for Warhammer you could divide them into Faction specific decks too with differing colors or symbol representing them. SD, SS, Wehrmacht, ROA all have unique choices specific to their subfaction and these could be represented with unique colors or a symbol for example. I am very much thinking of a cool and visually striking design as much as versatility, mind you.
You'd then have a pile of unit cards, a pile with all the Special Orders, and one with all the Hero choices, even a weapons subdeck could be introduced but would perhaps be too timeconsuming.
Example: You know what you have to pick for your detachment, you then pick up the Unit deck and find the choices you want. Then pick up the SO deck and find the one(s) you want then finally find the hero(es) cards you want from the final deck, and then lay them out on the table together with the quick reference sheet mentioned in another thread and get to the gaming.
This, would be what I'd want to see from the cards. I wouldn't necessarily need the weapon stats from their weapons since they'd also be printed on the quick reference (but having a weapons subdeck would eliminate this need). Special rules specific to a unit choice is a must for each one since it'd be easier to just flip the card over and see it printed on the back for example.
If I'm not making any sense, I would have to whip out a deck of cards and show you in pictures what I mean. I can do that but it will take me some time setting up.
