just picked up the rules 6 days ago(sucker for anything steam punk or psudeo sci tech the WWII just helps the theme that much more ;D ). got a chance to sit down and start reading the rules a few days ago and wow I can say I am soo looking forward to getting this game played. Still not entirely set on my faction but I am leaning towards the soviets. but little things about the Americans and German units keep popping up and giving me thoughts on hey this would be neat Oh well maybe I'll just stay side agnostic and play them all less strain on my poor small brain that way

Again welcome to the Forum. Try picking two Factions so you can always mix it up. I am sure it will get even more difficult as we start releasing New miniatures from our new sculptors, and than the release of the Occult book won't help any. ;D

Hi,
The mini's are great. The level of interchangeability for the parts is great too. The skirmish level is perfect for quick games and getting going quickly. I have a family and my responsibilities as a Dad keep me from marathon gaming sessions. The review of the AE rules on Tabletop Gaming News really peaked my interest. I ordered the book last week and I'm looking forward to playing more.
I'd like to thank the Darkson team for putting together a game that looks really fun and interesting but isn't focused on Demon Chaos Zombies of Death.
The demonic focus in 40K and Fantasy lately is a real painting and gaming turnoff. Not to mention, it's hard to explain to my almost 4 year old daughter what I'm painting (Actual Quote: "Mommy, why does Daddy's toy have 6 breasts and a bug head?"). Ditto for what I've seen in Secrets of the Third Reich. That much darkness is personally just too much for me.
Keep up the good work. See you guys at Historicon in Lancaster, PA this July.
Best Regards,
Chris

I just picked up the rules about two weeks ago. For me it was a case of peer pressure from hannibal, royal and many others at Game Kastle. This system gives me something to do with all of the 28mm WW2 stuff that I have and has given me the motivation to get them all painted. I have been reading the rules at every spare moment that I have. The rules are really starting to grow on me.

I think Rich cheated in order to beat me, but it was still a good game. Thanks to everyone that was there for giving me the time to demo the game! Welcome to the game! -Matthew

Glad you got a chance to see the game demoed by the man who wrote the book. I hope he didn't drop to much info on the up coming Occult book. ;D You will have to post some of your ideas on how you plan on running your faction. Cheers, Robert

Hi,
Another newbie here. I've been eyeing the mini's for quite some time on the Fantization site, and a friend at my LGS was getting the rulebook and I decided to take the plunge.
I got the book and after a quick glance through it ordered a starter force.
The Germans are now waiting for me at the store. ;D
