Again YES you will be able to use miniatures from other companies...YES.
The miniatures that we have done are fun enough that we feel that players will want to pick them up for Bounty as well as for painting.
As to how can we do this and still support AE-WWII. Bounty has been around for about a year with the ideas flowing for both systems just fine. We have been sitting on over 30 miniatures for Bounty and have been getting them painted by different painters. This means that the sculptors/painters/artist that have been tasked with AE-WWII are not being stretched thin trying to work on two lines as they have been getting loads of help.
AE-WWII has been doing great for releases. It has not quite been out a year and we have all of the sculpts done and almost all of them released. The Occult Expansion is done just not visually done and that is on me as I want to make sure we address all of the issues that were brought up by the fans. We will not put out a half ass product and again that is because of me wanting to do the best that we can do. Just because we are considered one of the smaller companies does not mean that we should not have the same standards as the big boys.

Well... I guess since no one else has brought it up, I'll bite the bullet and ask (respectfully): How is this going to affect AEWW2? Specifically, we are already creeping along with releases and expansions for the core game - a fact that definitely can frustrate current players or hinder excitement in new ones. You guys are a great, but small, company. Creating and producing content for one game is hard enough, even for "bigger" companies. How do you guys plan on sustaining and growing AEWW2 reliably, when is seems you're already stretched too thin? While I think the Sci-Fi thing could be cool, and want you to succeed, I can't help but wonder if it's too much too soon? Excellent question and a perfectly valid one. While I won't comment on the slow releases of current projects (that's Robert's area of expertise/frustration), I can say that AE-Bounty is something that's fallen into our laps. The sculpts (a long process to get them done) have already been completed, molds have been made and masters cast. Part of the delay on the part of our miniatures is getting molds made, masters cast and studio paint jobs completed before the release of the final product; with Bounty miniatures, 90% of that is already complete. From a rules/game design standpoint, since we're using the core mechanic from AE-WWII, there's no need to reinvent the wheel. This cuts down significantly on development and testing as we've got a solid mechanic. The phase we're moving into now is testing the new units, weapons, equipment, etc that (in theory) should go a lot quicker and smoother than building a game from scratch. Testing the occult expansion went a lot quicker that the core rules, for example. We're going 'story lite' for Bounty, with enough background to create a rich setting, but leaving a lot of details up to players. This is to keep development time down as well as to leave plenty of room for future additions. Overall Bounty is going to take a second-seat to AE-WWII. As I mentioned, the project kind of came at us and we were more than happy to put together a simple, fun game for it. I think you'll find it won't get the same treatment that AE-WWII does, but it'll still have enough support to grow into its own. And, with all that, I can assure you that our first priority is AE-WWII. Once again, excellent question! I hope I've helped quell doubts about detracting from AE-WWII. Trust me, plenty of goodness on the way.

If you want to continue to use this as a selling point then I would suggest rewording it as you will (and have) confuse people with the way it is currently worded. Excellent point, I'll make sure we clarify that in the future.

I hope I've helped quell doubts about detracting from AE-WWII. Trust me, plenty of goodness on the way. Yes, this helps considerably. To me, it seems like the Occult book might just help AEWW2 tip the popularity scales and generate some serious steam. I'd hate to see that momentum derailed in any way, and it seems like you guys feel the same way! Thanks for the quick answers!

So will Bounty and WWII play together at all? Not saying that I would, but I guess what I mean to say is are they compatable? Like a Wehrmacht has a armor of 3... does a regular space ranger guy have a 3 or is it more based on the fact that he would no doubt have better armor, even as a regular unit? Like maybe his armor is a 4 or 5 but the guns would do more damage... Thanks... And keep up the super work!

Technically yes, the two could work together but their scopes will be so different that I'd seriously advise against it. The aliens, weapons and equipment of Bounty will make the average Bounty model significantly more versatile than the average GI or Volkssturm. The rules will be compatible, but there's not enough consistency between the two to make it a feasible option. Good question!

Right... it would be like like the Pulp City creations fighting only versus WWII... I think it would be totally one sided, but you could do it if you cared enough to.

US troops trying to fight 2 Mercenaries and the US troops are getting there buts kicked. ;D Have you heard about the upcoming movie called Outlander, the plot is essentially what you've described above, just replace WW2 with Vikings. I'm liking everything I'm hearing so far, especially the fluff-light nature of the settings. There's so many questions I'd love to ask, but I think I'll hold onto them for now. I'll just let what I've read so far percolate in my brain for a while. Actually, I will ask one question. Currently there is Weird War Wednesday for AE-WW2. Will AE-Bounty be getting something similar down the line? Far Future Friday? Super Sci-fi Saturday?

I wouldnt be too terribly sure that an AE-WW2 vs AE-Bounty fight would have to be totally unbalanced. I'm thinking of Harry Turtledove's WorldWar series were aliens party crash WW2 and the human race gets a little annoyed with them.
Sounds cool overall, especially finally getting to use some of my Space Marines in a game that actually emphasizes tactics

BOUNCE!!!! ;D Looking forward to this immensely, but I do have one question: Can I humans and aliens working together in harmony? I've gotten so exhausted of the GW WEHATEEVERYONE!!!! mindset. (Honestly, I just want to pretend I'm playing Shlock Mercenary )

Absolutely. The players will be playing disparaged groups of scum fighting for the scraps of a dead galactic government; while many alien races have ties to various groups (governments, corporations, etc), individual aliens can be found all over the galaxy working with anyone. You'll be forced to have all members of a squad be from the same race, but otherwise you can mix and match alien races (including humans) as much or as little as you want. Personally, I'm looking forward to some of the great combinations people come up with for the various races and factions. Can't wait to get started playtesting!
