Well, now that Varagon has given me the tip to link photos from Picasa again, I can post this work I did a while back. This is my proxy for a Captive Djinni. Using the description in the Basra 1946 book, I found the Reaper Pathfinder mini, Shazathared, Marid suitable for the role. I started by painting all of her flesh with Reaper Olive Skin and Olive Highlight. Using the techniques of painting sheer clothing I painted the flesh colors on the clothed areas where it came closest in contact with the skin. Then in areas where the cloth was far away I touched up with some white. Thinning more of the white out as I got closer to the skin. Then keeping with the Fire Sprite description, I painted her clothes in firey reds and oranges with some flourescent yellow and orange glazes. Including finishing off the whole model using some Gunze Sangyo Flouresent Yellow, but without shaking the paint up, so I mostly got the Mountain Dew colored glaze rather than an opaque color.

Here's some more AE-WWII stuff I've been working on recently. I finally finished up my Hellhounds. BTW, if you haven't seen her before, that's my Kreighexen conversion. Also got about finishing my Schutzkommando SS conversion. I had quickly whipped him together prior to Gen Con last year, but I never did finish him. I got around to finishing up my ROA models. The Beast and Spawn of the Apocalypse. My Russian Cleric conversion. and my Black Horror of the Apocalypse. and for my Japanese IJN Force (Matt gave me the OK post up some pics of my proxy conversions for the Black Reign supplement, so consider this a sort of unnofficial sneak peak even though these aren't the offical models), these are the Gunnezu (mutant rats). More of my Weird War II stuff can be found on my Blog, Addicted to Pewter.

Some other recent finished additions to my Weird War II collection. Airborne Tesla Gun Team American Airborne, from Crusader Miniatures American Armored Infantry These are for Secrets of the Third Reich from West Wind Productions, and I'd have to say they were some of the worst castings since Mongoose's old stuff. American Armored Infantry HMG Team American Chameleon Sniper Team British Troops with Sten Submachine Guns British Chaplain and German Vampire, from Bolt Action German Officer, from Artizan Miniatures This guy makes a good objective piece and great for the Prisoner Exchange scenario. My Cyborg Apes These are Reaper, Incursion and of course AE-WWII. I'm just finishing up my Dust Apes right now. My Fallshirmjager Army Made up of mostly Bolt-Action, with some Victory Force and Black Tree Design.
