Bolt Action makes Vampires? You sure it's not Brigade or Artizan? Anyways, thanks for the compliments. Although not AE-WWII, I've just finished up some Incursion Sturmzombies and Bomb Zombies and posted them up at my groups site.

Bolt Action makes Vampires? You sure it's not Brigade or Artizan? Nope, Bolt Action does make one. They just don't have a well-organized webpage: shop.warlordgames.co.uk/vamphyr-2107-p.aspI haven't picked up any of their figs yet, but I have heard good things.

In anticipation of the new vehicle rules, I've been working on finishing some 1/48th scale vehicles kits for AE-WWII. The first is an ICM model of an SdKfz 222. I'm using it as a 221, as the only difference is the autocannon. The ICM kit is pretty good, and can be more easily found sold as a Tamiya kit. However the decals that ICM provides suck, so I'd advise getting the Tamiya brand. German Tiger I The next is an old Monogram 1/48th scale Snap-Tite kit of a Tiger I. Very toy like in it's simplistic detail. I picked it up for about $10 and intended to use it as some terrain fodder. I then used it as a practice piece for painting my German cammo. It came with clear adhesive decals, which worked surprisingly well after Dullcoting them and some weathering. However the edges tend to catch some of the weathering. I've got an American Jeep and a Soviet GAZ in the works now.

Good looking vehicles there. I've got the Tamiya Bren Carrier and a M 20 waiting paint.

My SS Krieghexen I made from a RAFM goth chick cultist called Jill Lucas, Cult Leader. The hat is from a Tamiya plastic figure. I had to carefully cut the head out from under it. Then clip off the top of her hair and after gluing the hat on, patch up the hair around it with green stuff. I then added the Luger holster and dagger also from the Tamiya German Soldiers set. She had some sort of coffin shaped backpack on. So I clipped it off and made a more military looking one from some pouches from the same Tamiya set. She's mounted on a Micro Arts Studios Temple Ruins base. I've been experimenting with doing a marble effect using layers of glazes, similar to what I did with my Temple of the Skulls. The KISS Army boots probably don't look very 1940s, but are probably more practical than stilleto heels when you're stomping around old pagan temple sites and more stylish than standard army boots. I painted her outfit doing some experiments in painting sheer cloth. Ironically I just finished her just before leaving for Gen Con, where I had a class on the same subject. The eyes were done normally with a black outline then a white center, but rather than finishing the eyes with an iris and pupil, I used some thin flourescent orange to give it the glowing effect. Her tattoos were added with a 0.05mm felt pen.

My OORD Skinwalkers, I finished these up just before Gen Con. Unfortunately they didn't do so hot in my games. Since they were 2 of the same models, I tried to bend the arms a bit and change the pose by mounting them on the rocks differently. Rather than going with the green look, I decided to with something darker. I ended up using Reaper Dark Elf Flesh shades. Later I thought the glowing yellow eyes would look pretty eerie on the blue/black skin. I did pick up the Con Exclusive Skinwalker, but now that I realize I now have 3 and they are used in pairs. Oh well, I hear there's a bird version out there somewhere.

Well finished painting my American APE Suits. Been playing with these guys long enough while half painted I finally sat down and finished them off. Here's the Lucky 7th, with a little added support from a Commanche Heavy Powered Armor Suit from the Secrets of the Third Reich line. These are all mounted on Dark Age Groundwerks Blasted Concrete and Industrial Ruins base topppers. I added some greenish ink to the wash to try to match the colors on the game board. I tried to stick with standard US Armor colors for the main powered armor body, and then added colors from my US Infantryman's pallet (using my trusty Flames of War set). So the main bodies were spray painted with FOW Olive Green, then I used Green-Grey for the webbing and gear bags. I used the Red Leather for the gloves and for the leather helmets and Brown Violet for the helmets, hand grenades and flashlights. I then used some left over decals from my Flames of War tanks for the stars, serial numbers and even the call signs. Other decals were from Games Workshop and Fighting Pirahna. I used the white circled number decals from some GW decal sheets to identify the different units to match up with the cards (eg. Grunt #1, #2, #3, etc.). Slugger Murphy Sarge - Diablo Blazer #1 - Fireball HMG #1 - Lil' Joe HMG #2 - Demon Grunt #1 - Speedy Grunt #2 - Porky Grunt #3 - Conan Right now I'm working on my British MI13 Monster Hunters. I'm using the British Commando uniforms as examples for colors.
