We seem to be posting new stuff on Wednesdays quite a bit so when we have up dates we will keep with this Weird War Wednesday theme. So for our first Offical WWW we bring you the British Greenman: The spirit of the woods incarnate, a green man is brought into being by the druids of the Ministry of Arcane Armaments. Rather than appearing from nowhere, the druids call forth the spirits of the nearby trees, asking them to defeat their enemies. The green man responds, leaping forth from the living woods and brutally attacking those that would otherwise threaten the protectors of Mother Earth. Cheers, Robert

Here is some background fluff for the Skinwalkers:
Skinwalkers are evil witches from the Navajo, Hopi and Apache tribes of the American southwest. Versed in ancient secrets said to be handed down by God, the skinwalkers are able to shift their physical forms, taking on the attributes of animals and gaining superhuman strength, speed and endurance in the process. The beasts most favoured by skinwalkers are those with sinister reputations in tribal folklore: the crow, owl, fox, wolf, and ,most often, the coyote. They use their powers to terrify and dominate those around them, possessing a cruel malice that twists their minds with sadism and brutality. Skinwalkers are also known for their ghoulish appetites, delighting in the taste of rotting human flesh.

With advanced training techniques and specialized breeding programs the United States K-9 teams have proven themselves effective in the field of battle. Seeing widespread use by the Marine Corps in the Pacific, American General Infantry squads have been given access to these intelligent animals, which are most often used for scouting and guard duties. While in Iraq I was able to work with both Army and Air Force MWD units (Military Working Dog). These dogs were amazing to watch in action from raids to TCPs (Traffic Control Points) these dogs would do it all. One mission that stuck out in my mind was an air assault we did. The Black Hawk came in low touched down and we were all rushing out as the chopper was lifting off. It was funny to see the K-9s wearing Doggles to protect there eyes during operations like this. I thought that this would be a fun extra head to have in the blister. Cheers, Robert

Another Weird War Wednesday is here and we get a chance to show off another beautifully painted miniature. This week we get to check out the upcoming German SS Werewolf. [glow=red,2,300] SS Werewolf[/glow] Werewolves are a potent weapon in the supernatural arsenal of the SS. Too savage to deploy whole scale, the SS has nevertheless found uses for the bestial marauders. Their animal senses and incredible endurance make them excellent scouts and spies. Their feral savagery and incredible strength make them potent assassins and assault troops. And, of course, their monstrous blood lust makes them excellent instruments of terror, sowing the seeds of mortal fear behind enemy lines and providing the citizens of newly liberated lands a grim reminder that they are still far from safe.

[glow=red,2,300]Beast of the Apocalypse :[/glow] A grotesque extreme of the human form, these massively tall creatures instill fear upon all those that view them. Standing nearly eight feet tall these monstrosities have heavy, barrel-like chests and large, bulbous heads. Large ears jut out from the skull and almost end in points. They are almost completely hairless. Their limbs are completely inhuman; long, impossibly thin with nearly no muscle to speak of and with an extra joint at the mid-forearm. Despite these gaunt limbs the creatures move quickly and possess an unnatural strength capable of ripping a man to pieces. Their mouths are filled with jagged, malformed teeth.

Despite, or perhaps because of, the ghastly rites of the druids, they have proven hideously effective on the battlefield. Their 'harmony with nature' is such that they can pass through even the most difficult terrain as though walking through a park. At their command, trees and brambles seem to reach out to attack or impede the enemy. Most sinister of all is their power to summon a Green Man, a terrifying animated tree possessed of a cruel animation and urge for destruction. Yes, the British are going to see some action in the upcoming AE-WWII Retro Sci-Fi Occult Expansion. The British Greenman is a single-part miniature, and comes with a 40mm round base. The Greenman is 40mm tall.

[glow=red,2,300]SS Hell Hound[/glow] [shadow=red,left,300] Terrible to behold, these demonic beings are some of the most savage roaming the battlefield. Their heavy vril collars pulsing with mystical energy, the hell-hounds of the SS reveal a hint of dark intelligence behind their otherwise animal eyes. Friends and foes alike have come to quake in fear when the baying of the hell-hounds can be heard from afar.[/shadow]

Soviet PSI Cannon. This is one of two sculpts. This first one is a single part sculpt that has a removable head so you will be able to use any head for the AE range of miniatures. The reason I went with one single part sculpt in this blister is to make it a bit easier to get the team on the table ASAP. The second PSI Cannon is a multi part miniature so you can use the PSI cannon on any Soviet miniature you want.

This week for Weird War Wednesday we are previewing the German Greatcoat Officer. We get emails all the time from players asking when we will be releasing another German Officer so here he is. This sculpt was done at the same time as the other two Greatcoats but never released. If you look real hard at some of the photos in the Core Rules you will see this guy. Cheers, Robert

SchutzkommandoThese ruthless, highly trained operatives are the field agents of Sonderkommando-H. They scour museums, crypts and ruins all across Europe in their tireless hunt for profane relics. Taught in the brutal combat and interrogation methods of the SS, these men are among the most despised and feared soldiers in the ranks of the Third Reich. While the children of these strange unions do seem to exhibit strange abilities similar to their patron, lately some offspring have been born horribly twisted. These foul beings are nothing more than the utter corruption of humanity and few can call them human. Rasputin and his followers have dubbed them ‘creatures of the apocalypse’ and feel that they are born to provide the devout with an army they can use to battle the psychic beings of the Soviets. These creatures of the apocalypse are used by the cultists as mindless soldiers, sent headlong into the enemy with little to no regard for their own lives. They are merely tools to be used against the enemies of Rasputin. These are the ROA Beast (Big one) and Spawn(Little guys) of the Apocalypse.
