So I take it you have the Daredevil Driver special order? He looks like a daredevil!

Yeah between the pose the plastic figure that came with the kit and the Darkson Head, he does have sort of a Daredevil look about him.

Its great to see that the heads work well with the Tamiya kits. Before we had a lot of miniatures for AE we used the Tamiya kits as our stunt doubles miniatures. I think I still have some in my fig case all painted up.

Any chance that Darkson will sell Bitz kitz? Take some existing heads and hands and loose weapons and put them on sprues and sell them in blisters. These would be great for customizing existing AE-Figures and would be great for those who do work on Tamiya plastics. Probably a nice spin-off as it may appeal to the non-wargaming modeller crowd. As the AE-Figures work well with Tamiyas, the 1/48th scale modeler crowd may bet lured into AE-WWII....

Contact Cipher Studios and you should be able to put your request in for bitz.

Any chance that Darkson will sell Bitz kitz? Some Brit weapons for MoAA conversions would be nice. Actually, Brit minis in general would be nice!

In case you guys didn't know... Rob has a secret Batcave like lair full of sculpts and minis yet to be released. Every now and then he goes to the cave, picks one out to tease you guys, and cackles madly while everyone tries to figure out what's coming next. ;D

OK, a follow-up to my Tamiya works. I'll have to say that my efforts in painting up the Tamiya's just don't look as good as the metals. Details seem to get lost. I don't know if it's the shallowness of the details in the plastic or just me having a bad paint day. ARPA Mechanic

Well after mentioning this as a suggestion in a previous post, I had to work out this idea on my own. So I bought another German Geneticist's starter set and started working on my Vril Engineer conversion. The Mad Doktor is now sold seperately but I wanted the other pieces for some other projects. I started with the Mad Doktor torso, and removed the bone saw from the back. I figured the smock he's wearing could just as easily be a grease stained technician's smock rather than a bloody mad scientist's smock. Since he's armed with a StG-44, I used the arm from one of the Trenchcoated Wehrmacht soldiers (which don't have an StG-44 option now that I think of it, aw well they can be used as Waffen SS I suppose). I used the right arm of the Mad Docktor with the syringe, figuring it to be sort of a tool like a screw driver and positioned it to look like he's making some adjustments on his rifle. I used an Abgerzsoldat head, and trimmed the top and back off to allow a plastic helmet from a 1/48th scale Tamiya figure set on top. Also added was a headset, for some added techy look to him. I then added a pistol holster, pouches, and a tool bag from a German Field Maintenance figure set. I then even found a tool box from that field maintenance set and added that to the base. The backpack is a GW Commo pack with the antenna removed (I'm surprised I didn't have to remove any aquilla or Skullz either). I'm thinking of adding some wires between the backpack and the head. I'm thinking of adding some funky stuff to the helmet like in the concept art or just simply adding some runes to his helmet.
