Hey out there!
People down at my LGS love the game, and asked about some Weird War II novels. The only ones I know of and have read are the Fiends of the Eastern Front series and Shadows in the Mist. All were EXCELLENT! Shadows in the Mist was amazing, I read that in one day! So I was wondering if you guys knew of other novels I could pick up and recommend to my LGS?
I'm sorry if there has been a thread about this, I did a search and nothing came up. Thank you guys!

I don't think there's a thread and I've never heard of Fiends of the Eastern front. Is it any good?
Are you interested in stuff besides the Hellboy novels and the Harry Turtledove alt history books? Those novels are great. The "End of the Beginning" is a good read. Turtledove also did that neat high-fantasy take on WWII.
On the comics front, BPRD 1947 begins this summer. It's got more on the vampire counts from what I've seen.

I'm a HUGE Hellboy fan, I didn't mention that in the post, sorry! I've been interested in Turtledove, but wanted to get a review from some folks before I pick 'em up. I personally didn't mind Fiends of the Eastern Front, very basic, quick reads for fun. The best I've read is Shadows in the Mist, which I really dug. I think everyone here would enjoy it also, especially with the Occult Expansion. Borders and Barnes & Noble should have it, the book is in paperback. I strongly recommend it. I LOVED BPRD 1946, great story. I even have a Hellboy tattoo, I love 'em so much! What book(s) would you recommend from Turtledove?

Turtledove is fine if you want readable tosh but personally I don't rate him very high. He's no great writer, his history is almost without exception too US-centric etc. And if he writes another 'Good German' character AGAIN I may have to hunt him down and shoot him. You might think different though.

I read a really interesting short story the other day which was written in 1942 and looked ahead to the successful invasion of England by the Germans in 1943-4. It was called "I, James Blunt". The guy I got my AE rulebook rebound by found it for me.

Sweet! Looks like I'll have to order Golem, no one in town has it. Sounds little bit like Shadows, which is way cool!

Look in the back of the AE rule book there is a list of books that we read while working on the core rules.
I will check on who did the Keep.

Ok, found it. Ordered that too. YAY! More Weird War II novels for me! Thanks for the recomendations! I kinda dig the fact that they are hard to find, gives that old, underground feel to it. Same with Shadows In The Mist. Thanks again!
