BANE is AE-WWII? That might be fun. Well, yeah! In the midst of the fighting, tiny dropbods fall from space to the European continent without so much as notice by the multitudes fighting for their lives. The pods open to release small, devilish creatures known as Bane. Entering the confusion of the fighting, they wreak havoc in the night. In the trenches and fields of battle, soldiers speak of horros flashing in the night and of comrades in arms being taken alive in the heat of battle; drug to God knows where to never be found again except in pieces strewn across the battlefield. Beware the BANE in 1946 Europe!!!!

space...hell no! these are the first true biowarfare crits from the 70's movies i watch! LOL
Designed by the Russians or Nazis and released by parachuted cannisters over rural areas to terrorize the civilians and create another "front" for the enemy to put resources to.

Well, I did get an email today asking if there was going to be a Pulp City cross over with them too. That would be fun.
Here's a few more teasers to give you guys a some details on them while waiting for the OTW to drop...
1. BANE is an acronym. It stands for Biologic Artificial Network Entity.
2. Crystal (the Superboss!) gave us the idea for multiple sizes of swarms that really lead to the great horde feeling these guys have on the board. Once they get going, they can be a real handful.
3. BANE are very social creatures, they are kind to the older members of the hive and several hatchlings in each brood volunteer to take on any genetic abnormalities so that the breeding stock of the hive remains strong and healthy.
4. Rob initially wanted the BANE to be French halfling zombie mimes, but Clint talked him out of it.
5. The most BANE on a board during a single game turn in a playtest for the list was 26 bases worth of carnivorous regenerating alien goodness. Not sure if that will happen again. I'm fairly certain we changed that rule to make it difficult to happen. A lot of crazy rolls came out that game too ;D
Cheers,
Chris
