Let me answer that question.
We have an OTW issue that will be up on the site this Friday. This issue covers the European special forces we had planned on, and as you might expect, there is a Halloween theme to it.
The Bane are due out right after this OTW. I will get them out sooner if possible. All the art is done. the rules are done too. We were waiting for some final pictures of the WIP sculpts. But we would rather you have the rules for them as soon as possible.
Feel free to ask any questions about what's coming in the near term for Bounty and AE-WW2.
All the best,
Chris

More miniatures and rules than you could shake a stick at.( And for those of you with no stick in hand that's a lot of rules and miniatures.)

Wunderbar! I hope you guys can figure out a way of getting minis onto some retailer shelves in Australia, or some way to promote the games here- players are still very few and far between. I plan on doing a Basra campaign event at a local Con next year... but that isn't much

Let us know the particulars of the con. We'll see what we can do. It's easy to talk Rob into helping you out with prize support. You should try it ;D

if you had any point of purchase type promo material (character cutouts etc) to use they would be good (for you) And potentially get in the way while gaming but oh well

I've been shaking it very hard the last few minutes, any specific miniatures and rules you'd like to share bearing in mind I have limited imagination to think up specific questions . Specifically speaking of course. ;D

We are almost finished with all the miniatures from the Core Rule book and we will be working our way through the Occult madness. In December you will get a taste of what is to come in the next year for Bounty. Keep shaking your stick and we will see what else we can show ya.

I plan on doing a Basra campaign event at a local Con next year... but that isn't much You mean having the AMF in the next AE-WWII book isn't going to help to promote the game? How many other games out there recognize the enormous contribution Australia made to defeating the Japanese, not to mention tweaking Rommel's nose in North Africa? I think once some Digger models enter the range, you'll have an easier job of promoting the game to friends: just play up on their patriotism.

We are from differing cultures my friend, having Aussies in the book will be very nice but we don't have a culture of military-patriotism here, not sure if it'd be a huge driver of sales but some more awesome weird war scifi units on shelves and some promo action would be better.
I'm not sure if it's the slow dribble of models coming out that means the game has not grabbed down here yet, because the models and rules are awesome.
Some companies such as Spartan Games just jump out of nowhere with a big packet of prepared new releases, such as with the upcoming Dystopian Wars, and because everything is ready to go with starter sets and models already prepared to go with the book, they generate a lot of interest in player groups in picking up sets and they have a second wave prepared for release in the coming months too to make sure that the new players have more to buy. I know that our gaming group, who already all own Uncharted Seas fleets, are going to jump in and buy Dystopian Wars fleets and books because they came out with the previews and then availability of miniatures all within one month, with awesome painted previews going up pretty much at the time that pre-orders are available. I think Darkson needs to get back to preparing starter set boxes for all the factions (maybe update the current available ones) and to release them around the books a bit better (to go off topic a bit).

Or even just some quick start rules we could print out and give out? That I think would be a great help to those of us who run demo/participation games of AE Bounty/WWII at various conventions and give people something to take away with them. Duncan

We are working on the quick start rules. What kind of promos would attract the attention of the people in your area?
