Wait doesn't it say in the rules that when using the options you can exchange a unit slot for one of a lower level?
Also on the topic of options it also says in that you can upgrade an existing units TL by one.
What exactly does this mean?
Does that mean you can Upgrade a units TL above that which it would normaly be aloud??

Say you have a Veteran slot and a Regular slot.
In the first instance, you could exchange the Veteran option for another Regular slot, giving you two Regular slots.
In the second, you can sacrifice your Regular slot to upgrade your Veteran slot to Elite.
And no, you can't upgrade past what's listed in the unit description (so no Regular Emaciated or Robots). So, you've got your Regular Sergeant and in his decription it says, "This unit can be upgraded to Veteran." In the above scenario, you can use either slot for your Sgt. You can't, though, put him in the Veteran slot and then sacrifice the Regular to get your Sgt. to Elite.
