I can't seem to find the answer, so I appologize if this has already been covered. *
On a weapon team like the Anti-Tank Rifle Squad. If the PTRS gunner gets killed, can the assistant drop his SVT-40 and pick up the PTRS? (basically just replace the assistant with the main gunner model).
Is it a free action like when a conscript picks up a weapon?
Since the PTRS is cumbersome, I'm guessing that you wouldn't be able to shoot the same round the assistant picks it up off his dead buddy?
* - the questions were brought to you by annoying snipers.

In AE once the Operator/Gunner is killed the gun is done. The loader can NOT pick up the weapon.
Matthew and I we back and forth a bit on this in the end Matthew won (As he usually does). The reason keeping the fast paced game and low note taking.
So to recap the loader may not pick up the gun/heavy weapon once the dude with the gun/heavy weapon is killed.
What does this mean for you? Find cover and place your miniatures well.
[glow=red,2,300]In AE cover is KING!!!! [/glow]

The only instance where models can pick up the weapons of fallen comrades is the Soviet Conscript squad. In all other cases, once the model with the weapon is killed, so is the weapon. And as far as me winning arguments with Robert goes - what project are we working on now? -Matthew

Ok, makes sense. I've actually been playing it that way, but wasn't sure why I thought that was the case.

Would anyone object if I used German Zombie models as Emaciated Troopers?

I'm sure someone, somewhere, would, but personally, I wouldn't mind, depending on your reasons, since they're pretty nice models (the Emaciateds).

AE players as a whole are pretty laid back. The whole zombie thing has been gone over repeatedly, but the upshot of it was that there are already too many games that mix WWII and zombies and call it a day. For that reason, you will never see official rules for zombies in AE WWII. That being said, I don't think anyone would mind if you just used zombie models with emaciated stats, even in tournament play, just so long as you made clear what they represented before hand.
