www.skycast.com/video/watch/6627542957936485127/sure it's of limited use and is heavy and ridiculous, but what's this game for if not for the weird? Limits range, decreases rate of fire and accuracy, but able to shot without line-of-sight or possibly with increased cover? whatever this is, at least the video's pretty cool, even if it is pretty goofy. a good insight into hitler's mindset in just one statement, too.

sorry for the double post, but the entire episodes, parts 1 through 5, of both Weird Weapons of WW2 Allies and Axis editions are on youtube. Check it out, some sweet stuff, just goog 'em. Even if you've heard the ideas, the eccentric scientists and enthusiastic inventors might make some unique characters for missions.

That is a Stg44. The so-called 'corner shot' version was produced for tank crews so they could 'hose' the top of the tank from inside without opening hatches. This may be something we develop later as an option for German tank crews to deal with pesky infantry crawling on their vehicle.
Rules wise, I'd get the range down to something like 8", but actually up the accuracy since it fires a 'shotgun' burst rather than a single bullet. Possibly downgrade the damage for any target further than 4" away, however.

Posted by fattdex on Yesterday at 6:37pm Not half as goofy as... www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0Q7MLR89p8Why is the Kriss goofy? I'd take that in a heartbeat over the cornershot StG - if I want to fire multiple projectiles I'll take a shotgun over something that will shred the bullet. Just good engineering sense. And the fact that I prefer ammunition commonality

Here's another example of an Around the Corner Gun, this time an American attempt. Perhaps this could be a Special Order. A model equipped with a submachine gun may be equipped with an optional around the corner barrel. It requires 1 AP to fit the barrel to the weapon and 1 AP to remove it. When in use, the model may benefit from full cover but may only use the submachine gun to suppress a target. Suppression range is 1/2 of the weapon's normal range and the target must be within LOS of a point of the model's base that is next to the cover they are using. When this barrel is install, it may not be used for any other purpose until the barrel is changed.
