My ninja shopper picked up three minis for me at the Gen Show. I am very excited as he also played a demo and said it was solid. I love sci-fi skirmish, so sign me up!
Are the bases essential to the rules, or could I use 25mm slotta-bases?
Will the rules be available in PDF form?
Thanks!

I don't believe you HAVE to put them on the lipped bases but i'm not sure if it's official or not. I highly doubt that they will put it on PDF they have talked about it before and have agreed to stay on paperback but who knows that might change one day.

The base-size is pretty specific; models on smaller bases have a bit of an advantage over those that aren't, so I wouldn't recommend putting some models on 25mm bases and some on 30mm. If they're all on the same base size, probably not a big deal.
We'll be looking to upload the Bounty rulebook to WarGames Vault once it comes out, but won't know for sure until we're closer to the release date. Keep your eye out for more info.
Glad to hear your excited about the game! So are we!

One thing that was mentioned (by Rob, iirc) was that the rulebook will be smaller in height and width than the AE-WWII (or GW or PP) rulebooks. They had a rough copy of the book at the booth and size certainly wasn't a problem (at least for me).

We're going with an 8.5" x 5.5" rulebook for Bounty, similar to what GW did with their rulebooks in their starters for Fantasy and 40k. Having just used the book for the first time on Sunday, the small size made the book very easy to use without being so small that it was hard to read. I think folks will like the convenient size and the cheaper price.
