I was reading a bit about Soviet troops getting liquored up with vodka before going into a charge and thought this might make a good Soviet Special Order. Special Order: Liquid CourageFaction: Soviets Detachments: Infantry, Cavalry Your detachment has been issued vodka before this mission as a means to make your troops fight more aggressively. All Infantry and Support Units that do not have the Leadership trait gain +1 DRV for the remainder of the game. However, all of these units also suffer in a +1 to their RC skill, thus an RC of 4+ now becomes 5+. Any RC that results in a modified value greater than RC 6+ (such as due to range) cannot be shot at (as the shooter just can't see well enough to shoot at the target). Notes: I made this apply to only Infantry and Support as Psi and Specialist Units would be too expensive to waste on a drunken charge. Furthermore, bad things generally happen when psychics and human/chimp hybrids get drunk.

Interesting - Now if we can just get Matt to adopt this and my rifle-molotovs ideas, the Union will be in good shape.

Sounds great, also a hero type could have the ability to swig from his hip flask and get those bonuses from then on (so as to not hamper his abilitys until he needs it. This would cost 1 AP.

Given the amount of vodka the troops of Mother Russia consume, I'd say the effects of it are already reflected in their profiles. We need to come up with something even stronger to give them any extra boost. Maybe kvas?
