OK a new campaign question as I'm prepping.
What about units with the Unliving and Unintelligent abilities? Do they gain EP and increase in training level? The Wendigo and Green Man is a summoned creature and I can see an argument against it getting EP.
The Golem is construct that's pretty much a magical non-sentient robot. So I can see an argument against that.
Robot Troopers I can see an argument either way. Like a Golem they're a non-sentient construct. However unlike the Golem they are controlled by humans via remote control. However no guaruntee that it's the same controller running them every mission and thus could remain the same TL.
Also all of these units do not offer an alternate TL, which suggests that they cannot advance.

I'd have to say they can't advance. The Robots are about as good as the ARPA can make them. And the Golem is *really* good as is, I'd hate to see it any more powerful.

Good question!
Paul is correct. They cannot advance.
In order to a model to advance, it must be living, intelligent and have a drive value other than '-'. Typically that will mean that the unit description will also include the option to take the unit at different TL's.
And no suggesting Draughr or Vampires can gain EP! Those guys are messed up from the process used to create them. Further, growth and change are things that only living creatures do.
