Can vehicle units get awarded EP? If so, does that mean they can increase their Training Level?
I'm picturing an Elite Jeep unit with 4 action points and a 9M, that's 36" in and activation!!!!
I suppose that the sprinting jeep can move 27" in a straightline sprint and the 36" just means the driver behind the wheel is Jason Statham.

Furthermore, what happens regarding Detachment allocation? Vehicles are something seperate and assumed to be Regular. If you now have a Veteran or Elite TL vehicle, how does that fit in?
I can see requiring dropping of a unit selection to upgrade the vehicle choice from a Regular to a Veteran. However you will need to drop two choices to get to field an Elite Vehicle. Now what if you have a Medium Vehicle that gets enough Experience to be a Veteran or Elite?? You already need to drop a unit selection to upgrade a Light vehicle to a Medium. This means you would need 3-4 selections dropped to field a Veteran or Elite Medium Vehicle. The trade-off seems plausable, but there are no detachments that allow dropping more than 2 unit selections.
I suppose the easy way out is to say vehicle units do not get EP or cannot be promoted beyond Veteran TL for Medium vehicles.

Another argument that's come up in my group regarding vehicles and equipement is that some people are assigning EP (i.e. a Jeep, not including the crew) to the vehicle itself and not the unit all together?

Odd. I told people it was the crew, not the vehicle that gained Exp.
We will also be going by the tank rules as far as AP spent for movement (only 2 AP and only by one driver a turn).
The vehicle role will not change, just its TL. Since a vehicle isnt treated the same as other units in Detachment selection (no slots used), they may be of any TL, affecting nothing else in Detachment building.
So unless we hear something different from Darkson, you can have an Elite vehicle in our campaign.

So what you're saying is that in a detachment that includes vehicles. One could have a vehicle that could be of Elite or Veteran level but meets the Detachment requirements no differently than a standard Regular TL vehicle of the same Role.

Correct. The role doesnt change. It is still Light or Medium whatever. Its stats will not ever go up, but the crew will.
It may be an advantage for the Cav and Cmd detachments, but with all the new special orders and weapons meant to take out tanks, the light and medium vehicles shouldnt last too long on the table.
We will see if it get too over powered.

To clarify: Can you sacrifice a unit to upgrade the training level of a vehicle? I would assume 'no', since it is not stated as such, but I thought I would ask. I could see it being useful to upgrade the crew of a M20 Armoured Car or a tank crew to Veteran status.

Nope. Only thing that can be upped is the role.
