Quick question.
Is the AOE for a Luftfaust really 1/2"? Would make sense as the warheads were only 20mm...but it kind of requires an agreement between the two players as to how that might work. Right now, I'm proposing that a single mini in base-to-base with the ID'd target would also be impacted.....but nothing more than that.
Or is it just a typo? I'm asking because I love that the weapon was introduced and I have a pair of minis equipped with luftfausts coming from Brigade games.

Remember that in AE, you can target points on the ground and there are no partials. So if there is two models very close to one another (like say a heavy weapons team in b2b for reload,) you can target the space between them or any are on a model's base to hit both.

Actually, this is only the case for weapons with the 'indirect' trait and tank guns, neither of which the luftfaust is. 1/2" AOE (1" Diameter") does seem somewhat useless without the ability to scatter. Perhaps the Luftfaust should be indirect?

Huh, that's odd. Bazookas and Panzerschrecks are also 1/2" AOE as well. I suppose I always assumed you could target the ground with any blast weapon due to that. Maybe it doesn't have to be centered on the base and can be askew so it hits them both? Also AOE weapons ignore cover if the center point is not on the other side of the obstruction (if it is on the base the cover won't help) and also affect crews of vehicles (the crew gets an armor bonus.) So maybe they give some AT weapons a tiny AOE so that it still gets the bonus against vehicle crews to represent the concussion?

The luftfaust is indeed 1/2" AOE, which allows it to get around cover and to bang up vehicle crews.
