?#1: So if I choose to take two gear options for my crewmen,do they not have any way to melee attack with their fists? I want to take adren boosters with self detonators, but would also hope they can at least swing with barefists!?
?#2: Also...I can't figure out anywhere in the book what base size has to do with anything. I read about base size at the beginning but have not seen it anywhere else! Am I blind?
-Thanks

You can always attack with just your base CC & S (fists, kicks, etc.)
Certain skills will only work on particular base sizes. It matters, but perhaps not at this point in time. It has a number of consequences in AEWWII that will likely become relevant in Bounty soon.

Am I blind? -Thanks Mr. Kent is correct of course, you can always bash people with your fists, doing damage equal to the model's S+1D6. Base size figures into a number of things. Most importantly, it helps to determine how many models are required to outnumber a model in close combat. A 30mm base is outnumbered if more than one enemy model is in base to base contact. A 40mm base is outnumbered if more than two enemy models are in base to base contact. A 50mm base is outnumbered if more than three enemy models are in base to base contact. These rules are summed up at the end of the close combat section. I don't have my book on me, otherwise I'd give you the exact page reference. Good questions! Thanks for posting. Cheers, Chris

To help Chris, since I have my book handy, it's the last paragraph on page 24 of the rulebook.
