I was fortunate enough to get to play my first game of Bounty today with my buddy. I was very impressed, I would say I was surprised, but I have already experienced a bit of AE WWII and loved the rules. The game has a great set of rules, that allow for a fluid, quick game, with a great deal of tactical flexibility. I was also fascinated with the amount of flexibility in army composition, it looks like a lot in the rulebook, but it's even more impressive when you are playing! We ran mercs vs. mercs, and had the robbery scenario, and I drew the secondary objective of breakthrough (which my hired guns were assigned to). He was the attacker (robbers) and I got to play the defenders. His hired guns with two loot counters almost escaped but Lt. Vendrek Richter (My lovingly named and modeled Human Blooded Warrior Mercenary Sergeant ), charged over the hill with his weapon harness and particle rifle and gunned them both down before they activated and fled the map. At this point we called it because he only had his specialist, one cutter, and one fresh meat left and my group was still up in entirety ( thus I would claim the third objective).
As far as noticing things in the game, I have found the versatility of humans is really great, and my Limax with a heavy armored suit was quite the thank. Particle weapons seem to be great, and suppressing fire is incredibly important (and thus so is the "get up and shoot!" order!). Slugs throwers or at least LRF models are great for keeping people pinned.
The game was great fun and I really looking forward to playing more. I was going to post a full report but my internet decided that was not an option and blindsided me (which resulted in roughly three pages of work being sucked into the void). Pretty soon I'll post a list of my army and a picture (though I don't have my Limax yet ) of the unpainted models. I hope to take some initiative and start painting them up this weekend.
