I have a few specific questions regarding new rules introduced in the Basra book. Overall the book is very good, if a little poorly organized. Some of these questions may overlap with other threads, but many are linked and I think it would be more helpful if they were answered together for completeness.
1. Tank Hunter- I would like further clarification about the Tank Hunter hero type. For example, as far as I can tell the German AP weapons available are the 7.5cm Leichtgeschuetz 40, Luftfaust, and PzB 39. The Tank Hunter hero type just specifies "one weapon with the Armor Piercing trait" so I assume it is one of the three AP weapons specified as available to the Germans in the Anti-Tank Weapons special order. Is this all correct? The Anti-Tank special order says that the Leichtgeschuetz 40 and Luftfaust are available to Support units while the PzB 39 is available to Specialist units. Does this carry over to the Tank Hunter hero type? For example: if I take Tank Hunter with my Schutzkommando SS, can I give him a Leichtgeschuetz 40 even though he is technically a Specialist with the Tank Hunter hero type?
2. Jam Prone- The description of Jam-Prone says "If a model fires the weapon at a greater Rate of Fire than 1:1, he must test the next time he wants to use an AP to fire the weapon. On a d6 roll of '1', the weapon has jammed and the AP is spent clearing it." First off, both the Leichtgeschuetz 40 and the PzB 39 have Jam-Prone, and their rate of fire is listed throughout the book as 1:2. What does this mean? 1:2 is a slower rate of fire than 1:1 so what does Jam-Prone do in these cases? Also, how does this effect work: does the Jam-Prone roll happen if you fire the weapon twice consecutively or in the same activation?
3. T4 Tumbleweed- The T4 is listed as carrying 3 M1919's; one in the forward hull and one in both the "left" and "right". What is the firing arc for these weapons? Are they in "left hull" and "right hull" 45° arcs? I was previously told by the mods that the Tumbleweed's weapons all fired in 180° arcs flush with their respective sides (E.), though the new Basra 1946 book overrides the previous rules on tanks.
-If they are all hull weapons, does the T4's firing arcs look like (D.) below?
-If the two "side" machine guns retain their 180° arcs, does the T4's arc diagram look like (F.) below?
-The 'standard' tank arc diagram is shown below at (A.) with an example of a forward Hull weapon at (B.), if I am interpreting the rules correctly. The T4 Tumbleweed's profile is more or less circular, not rectangular like other tanks, so does its arc diagram resemble (C.) below? This was never very clear.
4. Equipment and Hero Types- On several Hero types (such as One Man Army and Tank Hunter) it says that the model loses their previous equipment in exchange for something new (a machine gun or AT weapon, respectively). For units like the OORD Agent and Schutzkommando SS, do they get to keep their magical artifacts or are those removed as well? I am considering a detachment with a Schutzkommando SS as a Tank Hunter, and I need to know if I can keep his selections like the Rod of Command, Totenkoph Ring, etc.
5. Armor Saves and To-Hit Rolls on a '1'- Previously on these boards, it has been determined that on an to-hit roll, a result of a '1' is always a miss (to avoid people taking SS Snipers with Vril Rifles and Marksman who would never miss). Does this rule apply to Armor Saves as well? I bring it up because of the possibility of tanks being damaged by small arms fire. If you were to shoot at a tank or Buffalo with an impossibly high armor level compared with the strength of the weapon (pistols vs. Buffaloes for example), is a roll of a '1' on the armor save always result in a wound? It seems counterintuitive that a pistol fired pretty much anywhere against something like a tank would result in serious damage.
