I have become interested in this game and am wondering what the plans are for future releases this year. There is tons of info about the British, Japanese, and even tanks in the OTW magazines but no models for these that I can see. Are there any plans to release models on a more steady basis? I would definitely like to get into this game but without much support I have my reservations. I guess I just hate to proxy models as to me it takes all the fun out of getting into a miniature game.

Rob, creative director, has always said to use other models until we release our own. Since Darkson is a small company, we can't make models for every stat line. Especially for models that cover WWII that other fine companies make.
We're glad you are here and hope you stay around. Find some cool models to fill in the gaps for now and consider it "official" to use other company figs. We try to make most of the "weird" figs, but we don't want to necessarily duplicate the standard soldier in each faction since you can find them readily enough elsewhere.
We moved casters this year and they are currently producing models for the distributors, so we've had a small delay as we deal with that. We aren't going anywhere, and we are moving forward.
We're working on our own web shop as well and once the kinks are removed, we'll have all the items available.
Our first priority will be books, then models. We like to support the LGS.
Please let us know if you have any questions and welcome to the Darkson forums!

OK, what got me into wanting to play this game is the awesome looking models that you have produced. I guess I just want more! lol. You guys produce the best 28mm ww2 figs I have seen. And the "weird" models look amazing also.
The tanks and vehicles can easily be obtained elsewhere and that I'm OK with.
I look forward to more cool stuff to come. Time to go buy a starter set or three!

When you get them painted up, and if you're interested, let me know, we'll make you a Partisan!
Glad you understand, and I wish we did make more models. We're doing what we can.

There are lots of plans for new and related products this year. Once the new caster is going full bore, we'll be able to start telling people about them.
In the mean time, check out OTW, the forum and Skunkwerkz. We will be putting out a lot of content for games this summer.
Cheers,
Chris

Hey thanks for the quick replies from both of you guys. I understand that it takes time for things to get going and I appreciate the info. Helps to smooth over any reservations I may have had. About this time last year I was wanting to get into Hell Dorado when they switched companies and were sold to Cipher Studios and it took nearly 6 months before they were up and running making their models. They barely had time to produce starter sets for GenCon which I was lucky enough to obtain on the first day. So I understand any delays in mini production. I'm glad to hear that this summer looks promising for new releases! BTW, what is a Partisan? lol

Our old caster was Cipher. We have moved production to a new caster that has the production ability to do both metal and resin as well as a rather large staff to help along the packaging and production. When the new shop goes live we will have several new miniatures available. Chris and Bob have been tied up with the OTW and they are finalizing the shop.
