THREAD NECROMANCY!
Have you read the Occult book? Rasputin would be a nightmare to face in battle.

What a question. Yes i have read the Occult book. He would be an amazing addition. It would have to be a part of a campaign though.

Wait till you see the next book. Even better than the first two. It seems to be flowing much easier than the other two.

I came up with an idea while looking at some of my Tamiya American GIs at Rest set. There's a figure that looks a lot like Gen. Patton in there. So I got this idea about how about a scenario where the Germans try to assassinate Patton while in Iraq or Persia similar to the attempts to kill Monty in North Africa as described in the AE fluff.
A friend of mine also has the same set, so we can have a decoy. Another friend has some great middle east terrain. We can have Patton and his double stationed within the buildings with American guards stationed around (and an Abomination Hunter or Counter Cultists that gets to Hidden Deploy). Then the Germans set up within the perimeter (as they just infiltrated but the alarm was set off).
The German goal is to get the real General Patton within a given number of turns. The Allies goal is to keep the real General Patton alive to the end of the scenario.

An even better scenario would be the aborted British plan to storm the Eagle's Nest with paratroops in order to take out Hitler.

A cool Weird War twist to that would be that the real Hitler is kept up in the Eagle's Nest under lock and key because[glow=green,2,300]...... He's a Zombie!!![/glow] A good way to use Reaper's Reich of the Dead's 'Aldorf Hinzler, Zombie German Leader' and the other zombie figures they have. Upon the chaos of storming the Eagle's Nest the zombie Hitler staggers out of his holding cell and starts infecting his guards and this gets all out of control. The British Commandos are now trapped in the Eagle's Nest with a bunch of zombie Nazis and it's starting to look like Resident Evil now. ;D Oh wait I forgot, no zombies in AE....

If the love of Zombies is overwhelming and you must use some try using the Emaciated Trooper stats. To make them even more nasty upgrade them to Regulars. A bunker full of Regular Skinnes now that would be scary.

Ah but they must be infectuious emanciated troops.
I would keep them at Green, but give them the rule that if they kill a living model in close combat, it becomes a zombie on the next turn.
Hmmm...British Red Devils teaming up with some SD Officers and a Hitler look-a-like to contain the teaming zombie horde from spilling out of the Eagle's Nest by setting off the Atomic Bomb hidden away deep within the bunker......

OK, now that I've digressed into some zombie craziness.
How about Reinhard Heydrich of the SD? Post-Assassination attempt of course. The model could be a cool retro-styled robot body with a human torso and head, or just a brain in a jar or something. The guy would make a great reoccurring villian that could be 'killed' and yet come back.
The model could be another Darkson Convention Special. However, a more standard version, without Heydrich's head and some other unique bits, and a weapon attachment could be sold as a new unit for the SD. It could be prototypes of Heydrich's new cyborg super soldiers. Sort of an advanced version of the Abgerzsoldat and Battsoldat. These could be Heydrich's elite personal guard. After the last attempt on his life, he'd probably want some more metal between him and whatever Himmler or the Allies have planned to throw at him.
I think this would be more economical, as DD just has to make one model that they can produce as full production, and only some small bits that go with that model that would be Special Edition.

I'm not sure we really want to honour a butchering monster like Heydrich with a model. Cyborg super-soldiers, however, are another subject entirely.
There are plenty of legitimate real-life soldiers I'd love to see as special edition models. Vasili Zheitsev, Otto Skorzeny, Audie Murphy, Simo Haya, Sakae Oba... but not a Nazi monster like Heydrich. He's a great villain for the background, but not somebody I'd like to see on the tabletop.

You're right about Heydrich.
How about Heydrich's Personal Guard as being robot soldiers with brains floating in them. Built after what was used to save Heydrich.

Oh wait I forgot, no zombies in AE.... So certain are you... Regardless, you can always do counts-as, or change a rule, and write it up under the subject of off topic or battle reports in the forum. I'd be interested in reading what you come up with.
