Okay the Nazis were known for their whole occult thing, however what bugs me with most "pulp" or sci fi stuff combined with Nazi occult is that it most of the time ends up with having Zombies running around. I DONT WANT ZOMBIES!!! So how else do you think we could incoorporate the Occult into the game? Could we even take this to an almost Adeptus Mechanicus level in which Nazi occultists worship their technology? Or what about spirits in general? Ghosts?

Based on Nazi's history with the occult, there IS going to be an occult element to the game. We've already started discussing Nazi occultists and scenarios where Germans are scavenging for some lost artifact they think will help their cause. There will NOT be zombies, however.

I like the occult idea. But this is must be something realy sinister and not comic. May be something on level "hand of fate" like in WH40K epic. I`m also thinking about something in this direction for Russians - the true communistic learning...

By "occult" I mean standard fireball-throwers, zombies, and ghosts. Those are all boring and derivative. There should be Lovecraftian sorts of things, as well as somewhat "powerful" artifacts, although artifacts shouldn't have super-great powers like in 40K (Vortex Grenades anyone? Archeotech Weapons?) or WHFB (Griffon Banner), since that's just not fun.

Yeah, I was using the "common gaming" definition of "guys that throw fireballs (which always act just like guns for some reason), ghosts, zombies, skeletons, mummies, werewolves, and other pointless cliches".

I was thinking about some sort of ghost/daemon like in that WWI movie Death Watch ;D
What do you exactly mean by this? The communists didnt really believe in the supernatural, you should see them as the ultimate materialists (not as in greedy, but as in non spritual)

He wasnt Soviet...he was from Tsarist Russia. Its like saying that the Jews are the true people of God in Christianity. Things have changed and hence the old figures dont apply anymore. The Nazis might try to get Rasputin...maybe to discover why he never washed himself and had sex with so many women

Or why he DID NOT DIE... the story goes something like this, from memory...
One of Rasuptin's rivals decided he had too much influence with the tzar so he plotted a conspiracy with some of his friends. They invited him to dinner, and fed him food laced with enough potassium cyanide to kill many men. However, he ate all the food with no ill effects. The conspirators grew agitated and Rasputin's main rival decided to shoot him. He fired his gun into Rasputin's chest and carried him into a cellar to die. Two hours later, they came down to see if he was dead yet. Rasputin showed no signs of life, but when his rival approached, he suddenly jumped up and punched the man. The rival thought Rasputin had been brought back from the dead and fled the room screaming, while the other conspirators were paralyzed by shock. Rasputin ran outside and tried to escape but the guards heard the man's screaming and shot him two or three times in the back. Rasputin began crawling through the snow after he was knocked down by the bullets, but the guards ran to his body and clubbed it with their guns and the handle of a bell until he was completely incapacitated. Rasputin's rival had recovered by then, and wrapped the body in a bedsheet. He and his co-conspirators knocked a hole in the ice of the Neva River and dropped the body inside.
Three days later, the body was recovered and an autopsy was conducted. Cause of death? Drowning.
