Do you hear about brothers Strougatsku? They are russian sci-fi writers. "Picnic on the curb" is one from their most famous books. You cant belive it, but this book was writed in 70h, a long before the Mordheim ;D The meaning is same. On the Earth have several dangerous zones which is result of alien activity. This zones is realy strange and dangerous grounds, mainly this is abandoned cities. In this zones have a alien artefacts which try to find stalkers - illegal adventurers. Even deadly risk cant stop they. But zone is the realy terrifing place...This idea lie in the base of PC game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. the shadow of Chernobyl

So, what you think about game in style of WWII Mordheim? The territory across ground zero, the result of terrifing experiment. There have a lots of interrest thins and many partys which need it. It`s can be game which closer to RPG, with game master who control the anomalyes, zone creatures and traps. Models can be in small quantity in begin. But the game size can be extended and include the squads and vehicle action. Not so big like WH40K but larger than Mordheim and Necromunda. Zone is no mans lands, no one side have not a supremacy and therefory use a small forces for searching artefacts. Hostile environment also have direct influence to the gameplay. Near sample is death jungle world like Catacha in WH40K. But in zone all is mush deadly and darker.
