Hmm I wasnt sure on including these machines in the game, seeing they were more fitting as background things. But that might be an idea!

Well the big ones (I can see some easily 20 feet high!) wouldnt but small ones, about 2 metres tall would be very cool to have in game.

A smaller variant sounds cool, however it would be a drone then instead of a fully manned unit. Or perhaps some capsule which would be big enough for a German soldier to be crammed in who has to control the thing. Perhaps even fused to the machine or something?

Perhaps, maybe he operates it froma little thingypit on the back. I feel the bigger oes should be manned (with several revolving circular levels) while the smaller would be drones (controlled by soldiers with computers/control circuits who are on the battlefield (kill the controller and the drone cant do anything).

Or perhaps the controller would self destruct it before he gets killed, you would have to roll some sort of test to see if he was succesfull. Big blast radius ;D

Self destruct...or motion trackers so he ca det the drone down in "guard" mode. Self destruct definately cool (rather than bomb dogs, bomb drones?)

but still it would have to look crude and not too futuristic, and it should have "pointy edges" like in german tanks etc.... cool idea indeed, very cool not trying to sound like trying to develope a tank/miniature for the game, but just a artwork idea ;D xeoran: thanks it's my cygnar thunderhead

Yup, doing a slightly more rounded "evil" design now on my sketchpad.

I like the way how the Alien movies (the first three) made their stuff not look too "sci fi clean" by adding a whole level of realism to it as if these things could actually be used.

Agree with you on the "Aliens" idea, keep it crude and dirty. Same for some of the stuff in the original Star Wars movies.

Yeah the guy who was responsible for the sets of Alien 3 also worked with Lucas on the original Star Wars movies.

Perfect. So lots of dirt, grease, angles and huge belcjing smokey pipes. Almost steam punkish.

definately influenced by steampunk, but lets not over do that...I dont want this to be a Victorian/Warmachine looking device...definately be inspired by the stuff that was posted in this thread earlier.

No not Victorian at all, a walking tank really. Like a GW Dreadnought but even crazier and far more spindly.
