So...its the middle of the night and what does Malika do? Thats right, watch Apocalypse Now just to see the madness...the horror...the horror...
But it brought be an idea, a commander who went rogue. My personal vision included a German who went rogue on his own with some of his followers (both occult and scientific) and settled somewhere hidden and relatively safe. Perhaps due to his own genetic upgrades and character the locals would follow him, both the Americans, British and Germans have sent agents to take him out, but so far nobody has returned. There are rumours that some of them even joined this figure's ranks...
So basicly imagine a group of deserters, rogues, warcriminals etc joined together by this charismatic German leader...who is quite insane.
Opinions?

Sounds like a plan but you might want to change the nationality. Germans have been done to death- now an insane Japanese commander leading altered locals, Japanese deserters/POW's, slave Allied troops etc...
On the Western front perhaps a disillusioned American (lets call him Kurt).....

A rogue American might be very interesting, perhaps located in Italy with locals joining him and perhaps some Germans and other deserters joining up as well.

I'd steer away from having a German going rogue like that - too similar to the Projekt X setting and its Herr Doktor Klaus.

An Allied rogue is also an idea, I was just too worried that it would look too much like Apocalypse Now to have an American rogue in the Asian jungles.
And what a great coinsicence (sp?)...Apocalypse Now is on tv at this very moment...too bad its not the Redux version...

An allied rouge could be an American general who consider the Communists in Russia a greater threat than the Germans (Patton was close to do that), and as he can't get the gouvernment to start a war with Russia, he and some likeminded soldiers join up with the axis and contribuite on the east front, or as Malika said, take over Italy so the Germans can concentrate more on fighting the Russians.
Or maybe some English aristocrats are so impressed by the Germans victories that they decide to join up, hiding German infiltrators in England or giving away whatever information they can get their hands on (saw that in a movie once).

An American SS volunteer unit would be VERY interesting.....
Americans in Italy make sense- after all he could be an Italian-American.
English aristos are already there- there was a British SS and Facist party (led by Oswald Mosely). They might fit in well with the Prussian Junker faction.
A German like Rudolf Hess might be cool...
