We are looking for ideas for Campaigns. If you have a Campaign idea post the Story behind the Campaign and a few of the scenarios you would like in it. Some things to keep in mind:
1. A good storyline of Who, Why, and Where will help in the development of the Campaign.
2. Not all Scenarios need to be Fair or Even after all war is hell.
3. Primary Objectives that would apply to both forces and you can have Secondary Objectives that only apply to one side.(Each side could have a different Secondary Objective.)
4.Terrain.... It is always good to talk about "Themed Terrain".
These are a few things to keep in mind when writing your Campaign.
What do we plan on doing with these ideas? Well if the Game Developers like your fluff we will help you to further develop the idea and add it to the official rule book that will be released next year (2007). So have fun.
Cheers, Robert

Should the campaigns fit in with existing fluff (i.e one about the Persia Korps)? And would you rather have them smaller (i.e. following an attempt to take a hill/defensive network/bridgehead) or huge (i.e Operation Overlord)? This sounds great and is certainly something I'll have to do (bagsie the SAS in the M.E. campaign! )

Write them for The Sci-Tech Americans and the German Genetics. You don't need to do force lists just Scenarios/Campaigns. Try to keep with the Background you have see so far. Or look to movies that fit well with the feel of the game Sky Captain, HellBoy, Indiana Jones, The Mummy.....

That second idea sounds like the plot of the Hellboy film almost. That would be a great campaign.

Hmm what some pulp cliche turned the other way around? its always the Germans in some lab/fort with the Americans breaking in. So what in this case let the Americans have some jungle/bass lab in the South American jungles. In that base they are trying out new chemical weapons and technology. Perhaps the Americans might have had their own (failed) supersoldier project. The German soldiers have been sent to recover the info from the lab and also some scientists.
It could start with the Germans entering the jungle and being attacked by some American jungle fighter guerilla figures. This is the first part of the campaign. The Germans are trying to locate the lab deep in the jungle and are fighting against the Americans and locals who are hiding in the jungle. Perhaps the Germans could also recruit several locals as guides. Eventually they find the lab and the next part begins, here they have to get into the lab and explore it. Inside there you would find more American soldiers (more high tech) and perhaps even the robots. The Germans need to adquire the info and scientists and after that escape the lab and the wrath of the US soldiers.
So the campaign is divided in three parts:
-Entering the jungle: The Germans need to simply survive, their objectives are that they need to get to the lab. The Americans simply need to kill all the Germans. These would be guerilla styled total cleansing missions.
-Entering the lab: The Germans have found the laboratory. If they lost the first part it would have meant that they would hava several disadvantages in this part. If the Germans won they would remain in the same status since the Americans are in larger numbers anyway. The main objective for the German here would be first to enter the lab and then adquire the data and scientists. Perhaps the data would have a higher priority while the scientists are secundary priorities. Secundary objective might be to place several detonators in the lab in order to blow it up. The Americans need to make sure that all the Germans are killed.
-Escape from the lab: If the Germans failed in capturing the data/scientists they would once again have that disadvantage, if they succeeded they would be normal. Their mission is to get out of the lab. If in the last mission the Germans succeeded in their secundary objective it would mean there would be some sort of timelimit to get out of the lab. (lesser turns than normally) All the Germans need to do is to get out of the lab. The Americans have to kill all the Germans, captured scientists are expendable and can be killed too. If the Germans placed the detonators in the previous part it would mean that the Americans need to deactivate it. If this is succesful it would mean that the turnlimit would be removed.
Terrain? Jungles! Some lab looking building, and perhaps some corridor and insides of buildings stuff to have Space Hulk styled games.

This is a Good start. malika I like the reverse roll you could do a German Commando Raid. It would also be very cool to do the Love Craft style in Massachusetts.

Sure, whatever rocks your boat I was just more a fan of jungle warfare mixed with strange high tech labs... As soon as we're dealing with Germans in the US I get this vibe of German paratroopers raining from the skies in the Mid West

Wahaha I never followed "Dad's Army" that much...
Other scenario:
Offense in France.
The Germans are in some heavily fortified city and the Americans need to take it over for its port. When the American control the city more supplies can be sent in and the attack against the German Reich can continue.
The Germans are under heavy American attack and have dug themselves into this city, its harbour is essential for control of the area and had to be protected at all cost.
Missions:
-Reconnaissance: A relatively simple mission, American paratroopers have been sent to scout the area and try to find some weak spots in the German defenses. However, in the old city watchtower there are now German snipers. Primary obective for the Americans here is to take out all the German snipers. (We might need some special rules on how to find a sniper, imagine those funky scenarios from Enemy At The Gates) The Germans control an elite unit of snipers (veterans?) which are hiding in the watchtowers, their objective is to take out the American soldiers.
-Entering the city: French Resistance members have secretly dug a tunnel underneath the city to establish contact with the Americans, in doing so they have let a small unit of American soldiers infiltrate the city. They have been sent to attack the German fortification from within. However, if the Germans spot the Americans the alarms will go off and the mission fails. American objectives: detonate powergenerator and weaponsdepot undetected. (we need some rules to cover eyesight, infiltration and nighttime) The Germans need to simply guard, its kind of a boring mission for the German player, they need to patrol and look out for anything suspicious. If the Americans succeed in placing the bombs they have one turn to locate and deactivate them.
It now depends on who has won the previous battle in case of the following mission
-Ambush the reinforcements (American victory on previous mission): With the electricity and weapons facilities destroyed the Germans quickly need to resupply their city in order to protect it. The city has become unreachable for ships due to heavy gunboat fighting on the water. However a small envoy of German trucks is on its way to resupply the city. The American primary objective is to make sure that none of these trucks make it to the city. Primary objective: destruction of the transport convoy. The Germans have to make sure that at least one truck arrives at the city. The trucks contain several German soldiers who are able to fire from the truck.
-Taking out the tunnel: (German victory on the previous mission) With the detection of the Americans the Germans have also detected the tunnel which leads to the outsides of the city. Inside of the tunnel however are several French Resistance members and US soldiers working on a second attack against the city. One of the Resistance members is recognized as an important local leader who could provide the Americans with good intelligence and additional support. The Germans need to capture that resistance leader, that is their primary objective. Their secundary objective would be to kill all the remaining Americans and resistance members. The Americans need to make sure that the Resistance leader and at least one American soldier safely gets out of the tunnel.

CONTINUED:
This is sort of my attempt at a "tree styled campaign" as in that each battle influences the other one, as in that missions are given determined by outcome of the previous ones.
"Ambush the reinforcements" can have two outcomes, an American victory or a German one. This would result in two different missions. If the American won the previous mission you would get the following:
-Final Battle: The Germans have lost their own supplies and outside support has been ambushed by the American troops. Transportcraft from England are flying over the French skies to send in additional reinforcements for the Americans. The German fort is invaded by American paratroopers. Its pretty much an open war, there would be several vital buildings in the city which have to be taken in by the Americans and guarded by the Germans. So who ever at the end of the game controls the most buildings wins.
Now if the Germans won the "Ambush the reinforcements" mission it would mean there is still hope for them. They would get a new mission:
-Preparing for air attack: Spies working in England have reported that British transportcraft are being sent to France in order to boost the support of the American troops. If this would happen the Germans are in an even more dangerous situations and this area might fall into Allied hands. The local commander has therefore decided the following: anti aircraft units need to be deployed in the area surrounding the city. The German primairy objective would be to escort these units to the designated areas. The Americans have noticed that the Germans are working on their new defenses and have sent in paratroopers to take them out. The Americans will have a sniper operating in the area trying to kill all the German anti aircraft teams. Also let the sniper climb in the trees.
Now, "Preparing for air attack" has two outcomes, either the Americans or Germans win. If the Americans win it would mean that the Germans failed to place their defenses. The next mission in that case would be "Final Battle". (see above) If the Germans won the previous mission they would go into the offensive. With the British aircraft taken down there are no additional reinforcements and supplies. The Americans are driven into the forests. This would lead to the following mission:
-Hunting down the invaders: With the Americans driven into the forests the commander of the city has ordered his German soldiers to hunt down every last American soldier in the area. The German primairy objective would be to kill every American soldier in the forest. The Americans need to make sure they can reach the other side of the forest and escape.
"Taking out the tunnel" also has two outcomes, with a German victory it would mean that the Americans have been unable to escape and gather additional intelligence. With an American victory the Resistance leader managed to escape to the Americans.
-Purging the Resistance: With a victory in the secret tunnel the Germans manage to capture the dying body of the Resistance leader. The Commander ordered his medical personel to extract the leader's brains and use them for examination. German scientists have developped a way to extract information and memories from a seperated brain. The brain of the Resistance leader contained information about resistance members inside the city. The German soldiers have been ordered to hunt down and kill every resistance member. It will be a dirty urban battle in which resistance members will be hiding inside buildings. The resistance members need to survive for a certain amount of turns while the Germans simply need to kill them all.
-Kidnapping der Kommandant: The Americans managed to escape with the Resistance leader. With all the usefull information he has given them, the American commander present decided to kidnap the German commander in order to deliver a hard blow against the German presence and cause a civil uprise. Upon starting this mission the Resistance leader has offered to join up to help the American soldiers. In a small boat the Americans arrive at the harbour late at night near the commander's office. The Americans need to get into the office, take the command and bring him to the boat, that is their primairy objective. Secundary objective would be the survival of the Resistance leader, he needs to stay alive in order to get the population behind the Americans. The Germans need to kill all the Americans, secundary objective would be killing the Resistance leader.
If "Kidnapping der Kommandant" was won by the Americans and the Resistance leader is alive you would get the following mission:
-Final Battle: (version 2) in every way similar to the other Final Battle in which American soldiers and Germans need to fight to control the city, however the Americans would receive resistance support in the form of ammo and medical supplies.
If the Resistance leader dies during "Kidnapping der Kommandant":
-Final Battle: See above
Now if the Germans win "Kidnapping der Kommandant" and the Resistance leader is still alive, it would mean he has been captured and is being tortured. Under torture the Resistance leader tells the German Kommandant all he needs to know about the resistance, the following mission takes place:
-Purging the Resistance: see above
If the Germans win "Kidnapping der Kommandant" and the Resistance leader is dead it would result that the Americans have failed. There is not a strong enough support to send in additional forces from England to take over this city since that would be a suicide mission. The surviving American forces have fled into the forest and try to make it to the next town. The next mission would be:
-Hunting down the invaders: once again see above
