Fins seem very secondary to the Americans, Germans, and Russians. I would like to see them before the Japanese just to be different, but I dislike the idea of producing them now when the Americans don't even have a single unit yet. just planning, just planning...

nothing wrong with ideas for the future, but what kind of 'high tech' goodies do we want for the Finnish? I was thinking about thermal suits myself, it would offer them some sort of protection against the cold and perhaps also function as some sort of armour.
Looted equipment might also be fitting, Finnish troops with looted Russian and German technology...I can see things like a German heavy weapon platform on top of skis pulled by a horse or something in those lines.

Oh like so...I dont expect these units to come out anytime soon (read at least a year or 2..3?) but its fun to speculate about ideas, and you guys (the official creators) can pick out stuff you want to use for the game and models

Think, for beginning it`s can be army with own special rules and own play style. At least for assortment. When be ready a conception of army, combat doctrine, than we can talk about models. As easy way can be used models from another armies which will be converted. I dont count idea with Finnish troops like something impossible or useless. We do a game, and if this game will have lots of playable armies it`s will be great. So, before need a combat doctrine which have enough differents from other main armies. But for this must have a main armies. Rules - before, models - after.

Okay doctrines and rules? What do we knw about the Finnish so far:
-Like the Germans a small and elite force, however the Finnish lack in technology and equipment, they are also normal humans.
-Guerilla attacks, this means they can make hit and run attacks, hitting the enemy while they dont get captured.
-Very Anti-Soviet, perhaps some sort of hatred rule towards Soviets, I could even see characters with soviet thropies, might cause fear to the enemy?
-throwing weapons mainly, weapons like molotov c0cktails and grenades are some of the main weapons, also weapons like demolition chargres etc are very common. So instead of having grenades as optional wargear the rifle would be optional wargear

hmmm...I would prefer the throwing weapons to be optional The Finnish are famous for their molotov c0cktails, so I thought it might be quite fitting, it could also show the lack of resources.

What about in each squad the rifle is either something like a special weapon or the weapon of a character.
Other more effective machine guns and rifles should be german since the germans tried to supply the Finnish against the Soviet invasion.

special weapon in a squad would be great (machine gun or a explosive specialist(booby traps etc.), and a throwing weapon would be optional to every soldier).
the heaviest and best weapons would be german made, but the standart rifles would be finnish.
those are my ideas at the moment

What about free grenades at least some sort of rule that would make grenades a very common weapon.
