Jaja, I saw that polar picture Darkson posted and the suggestion of Finnish troops still fresh in my mind, I thought it would be cool to just speculate on some ideas for this faction.
Molotov thingytails, these things were originally used by the Finnish troops against the Russians, they had very specialized snow troops too, so ideas:
-several types of molotov c0cktails and grenades, extra focus on these throwing weapons.
-specialist ice troops, so perhaps those special snow shoes which look like tennis rackets or even ski's. Maybe extra thermal protection or something like that.
-Guerilla like force: unlike the Soviets and the Germans, the Finnish are not a large and powerful force, they would have small but effective guerilla like units.

really good ideas. I don't know these are real facts, but... I think that the Fins had only molotov's thingytails and german handgrenades (those could be restricted to veterans and/or higher ranked soldiers in the game ) the specialist ice troops would have skis, not snow shoes (I don't think Finnish knew anything about snow shoes before 70's or something, I think that's too eskimo-ish ) I'm not going to comment the guerilla force thingie, 'cause I think it's good

and there was some hors units but they where mainly useid in summer time and only in material suoopor and fins where werry low on materias the whoe time. We didt have airsuppor or tanks.

The pictures I have posted are not actual Finnish troopers, I just wanted to post some examples of winter suited uniforms. The Finnish did have air support, the had for example the Swedish Voluntary Air Force

ok We did have some air Support BUT fins did olny have 6 flight squadron (82 plains) and 37 plaines was helpley obsolete.
* 36 Fokker D XXI- Fighter * 17 Bristol Blenheim- Bommbers * 29 Fokker C X-scout
and russians did have about 1000 plains 600fighters,300bommbers,100 scout or ohters plains
so the air dominion was on russians... But in January 6. 1940 lieutenant Jorma Sarvanto made worldrecod whit his Fokker fighter shooting down form 7plain bommber unit 6 plains in 4 minutes
but in the end of Wintter war Russians air forse was 3800planes,1500 fighter,1700 Bommbers,600 scout planes. and at the end of war fins did buy 138 new planes so you get the point??
and for hores. finnis diviosn whit 15000men there was 3500 horses and only 100 motor vehicles, unit of 190men they did have 10 horses, but light artillery unit of 780men did have 430 horses and no motor vehicles. there was fighting hores units but they where closed werry shortly after beging of wintter war

I'd prefer that the "main" armies are completed first before introducing armies that affected the war on a much smaller scale, such as Finland and many others.

German, Russian, American...these are the three armies that will get ALL the attention for awhile. If we do Fins or anything else, it's going to be a down the line.

By NOWAY i mean fins shud be done before them. its just that meny (mabey all) fins are pritty proud what we did in WW2 we where outnumbered 1 to 5 (at least) outgunned and sitll where where the only contery (in continet and did take part in ww2) that capital was not occupied in ww2.

Fins seem very secondary to the Americans, Germans, and Russians. I would like to see them before the Japanese just to be different, but I dislike the idea of producing them now when the Americans don't even have a single unit yet.

Okay they are a secundary project, but still does that mean we are not allowed to discuss them? Lets get back on topic shall we?
