I'd like to think about building upon papamidnights walker stat ideas and add the idea of generic walker classes and loadouts (similar to the vehicles section), as well as a walker detachment and new infantry unit. My inspiration comes heavily from this game en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring_of_Red . I'll basically be dumping ideas here, as I don't have the rulebook with me for reference yet! I'd be going for 3 AFW classes (armoured fighting walker)- AFW (regular), Light (scout) and Anti-AFW (regular). AFW's would be open topped, crew 2, transport 3 generally. Regular AFW's would have an 88mm cannon with longest range (60 in range, 1.5in AOE), light machine gun and a special shield rule against hits to the front arc. Medium armour. RC4, Aim Light AFW's mount a heavy machine gun (30 in range), have a good speed and have some sort of agile rule, perhaps to avoid being engaged in close combat. Light armour. RC 5 Anti-AFW's pack an armour piercing medium range cannon (42in range, no aoe), light machine gun and heavy close combat ability. medium armour. RC 5, Aim A new specialist unit would be combat engineers- 2 man regular unit, mechanic ability, one shotgun and one grenade launcher, have the ability to lay antitank mines and also clear mines. AFW detachment could be- one elite, one veteran, two regular units, may select combat engineers. One regular AFW selection or two scout AFW selections. More to come as i flesh out the ideas!
