With the scope of AE-WWII, alot of odd and prototype weapons that didn't quite make it into the war have the potential to be wide-spread and perhaps even standardized equipment. One example is the Australian/New Zealand Charlton Automatic Rifle, something of a squad support weapon produced by this countries in the early days of the war. With the expanded scope of the war in AE, production of the Charlton could have become quite standardized and this unique weapon could have become almost regular kit for Diggers in both theatres of the war.

A very mean-looking gun to be sure.
On the German side, the Luftfaust was a weapon well-ahead of its time, being the first anti-aircraft rocket system that was handheld, a precursor to things like Stingers. while the range wasn't quite up to specs, the Luftfaust makes for an interesting 'what if' weapon on the German side. Like the .88, this system designed for AA action, might also have anti-armour and anti-infantry purposes as well. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Luftfaust.JPG
The M50 Reising Submachine Gun is a unique looking weapon that was used by the US Marine Corps, noteworthy for a very distinctive look that sets it apart from the Thompson and the Grease Gun. The weapon is more carbine than true SMG, and this leads to one of its faults as its complicated selective fire can cause it to jam when being fired in full automatic. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Reisingm50.jpg
And, of course, the USMC Stinger, based of a .30 calibre aircraft machine gun: www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59625
That's a bit of a wish list for weapons I'd like to see involved as the range expands. What are some of yours?
