Today I've played a game with the girlfriend of my flatmate (she'll be a new player ).
I post both detachement lists:
· German Veteran Detachment
Special Orders: Stragglers
Elite: SD Agent (Archaeologist Hero)
Veteran: German Officer (Assassin Hero; 1 regular selection sacrificed)
Mad Doktor
Regular: Sturmaffe
Werhmacht Sniper (armed with WA46)
Werhmacht soldiers (armed with Stg44)
· Amercian Veteran Detachment
Special Orders: Stragglers
Artillery Support (due to the Eccentric Millionare Hero)
Elite: OSS Agent (Eccentric Millionare Hero)
Veteran: Arpa Field Mechanic
US Airbourne Officer (War Hero Hero; 1 regular selection sacrificed)
Regular: Buffalo Power Armor (Armed with Tesla Electric Gun)
US Airborne Sniper
US Airborne (1 armed with M1 Carabine, 1 armed with BAR)
The chosen escenario has been Escort the VIP. My Germans have been the attacked ones.
Before begin, we played the Strugglers Order and So in the First Turn nothing happened, except that the American Sniper killed one of my Werhmacht soldier.
In the Second turn my Sturmaffe is deployed with a very lucky one on the dice . The rest of the turn is just positioning. But in the Third turn the nightmare begins. The Mad Doktor innoculate the Sturmaffe and the result is another 1 . Two wounds for him. He charge to the US Airborne unit but didn't reach them. The Airborne unit decided to shoot all they could and the Sturmaffe is reduced to 0 wounds . Meanwhile, my Archaeologist attacks in close combat the OSS Agent and the SD agent received 1 wound (what the...). Grenades rain all over the centre of the game.Nasty turn for the poor germans but it could be worst if I'd failed a couple more of salvation rolls.
The battle turns on my side on the Fourth turn. The Buffalo appears and nothing more . The Sturmaffe killed the BAR of the Airborne team before being retired from the game. The OSS agent run for cover when is supressed after the SD agent leaves the close combat. The Germans begin to advance quickly to the exit while the Americans regroup in the entrance. The Airborne Officer gets 2 wounds and another one the Mechanic.
But the battle, again, turns on the American side. The fifth turn is decisive. The Mad Doktor is hit by a grenade and suffers one wound. Another one is for the Werhmacht officer (damned mechanic). Grenades keep on raining and there are a lots of lucky salvation rolls. And the VIP, poor VIP, is killed by the remaing Airborne soldier, after being wounded by the American Sniper, just when he was close to the exit.
The result is another victory for the Americans . But we had a great time. As soon as possible, both of us will play again and my Germans will be ready to take vengeance .
