Played 2 quick games against Skrivanek tonight. He managed to win both. Lessons learned included: mortars are nasty; scouting Krieghunds are good, but not a sure thing.
The lists were as follows:
German Recon: Vet Officer - Pathfinder Vet Doktor Regular MG-42 (Looking at it now I did not have 3 Infantry...oops) Regular Wehrmacht Regular Krieghund Regular Emaciated Special order - scout
American Support: Elite OFficer - War Hero Veteran MG Veteran Mortar Regular Airborne Regular Sniper Green GI Special Order - Artillery Strike
We played at Eagle and Empire in Alexandria, VA, on a really nice desert table.
First game was the new scenario from OTW 10 with the Americans trying to recover data from an experimental tank leaking radiation (we used the rules suggested on this board). The Krieghunds were ineffective on their charge, the mortar popped the German leader. The germans eventually chain-routed.
2nd game was welcome to hell. The mortar AGAIN popped the german leader, but not before he and the emaciated troopers (juiced for +2 strength by the Doktor) massacred the airborne. The Americans routed the Germans off the map, but had the stupid Krieghunds managed to kill either or both of the MG troops in hth, the Germans would have achieved their test-subjects secondary and possibly reached attrition.
2 fun games, at least one of which could've gone either way.

Wow, the krieghunds I go up against are usually far more effective. Sounds like some bad rolling on the part of the doggies - BAD DOGS!
Sounds like you had fun though!
