Anybody ever win being the defender in the Scattered scenario?
Not that I've played a ton of this scenario, but the defender loses every time so far. Obviously, the defender is behind the eight ball because of the deployment issue he's forced into, but just wondering if anybody has won as the defender. Although my last game was close... too close... ;D
Every single game has been a hoot to play though. So that's not the issue, thankfully.

I haven't played it, but I can see it would be a tough one for the scattered fella. It says a lot about a game, though, when even a losing game is great fun...

It's rough - definitely harder on the defender than most other scenarios. I have pulled out a thin victory in it as the defender though. In general, it requires you forcing your opponent into a bad starting position based on the terrain and choosing the table edge for them. Like all scenarios, it's also based heavily on what you've taken vs. what your opponent has. Finally, the secondary objective makes all the difference for the defender. As the defender, focus on your secondary and you'll at least be able to eke out a tie.
Glad you enjoy that one - it was fun to write.
