There were a number of experimental helicopters that the Americans and Germans used. I was looking at a few recently and it got my wheels turning: what about scifi WW2 air cavalry? Here are a couple of different helicopter designs the germans messed around with: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOcNCO6S_vYStill hunting for still images of these. What do you think?

The Dragon was going to be used by the commandos who freed Mussolini from his incarceration but I believe it had some problems so they used gliders instead and got him out on a Storch.
There are 1/48 models kits for most of the Allied and Axis helos of the time but they tens to be a bit pricey but well worth it.

That little 1 or 2 seat helicopter around the end of that video was pretty slick. It would be perfect to have that size in a skirmish game like this. I keep getting the mental picture of the German pilot flying over the battlefield chucking grenades on the enemy below!
BOOM! ;D
