That is a new project that I'll be following. It is a weird war take on the Warsaw's Uprising 1944, and the head of the project is Tomasz Baginski, an Oscar nominee for the most wonderful Cathedralwww.hardkor44.pl/The matter is very close to my heart as I am natural born Varsovian, my grandfolks fought in the uprising. If you are ever in Warsaw, make sure to stop at the Uprising's Museum, one of the best museums I ever visited. Godspeed with the project!

Fantastic stuff, morf! I'm sad I didn't catch the museum when I was there. I was also wondering where your family fit in during the war. Thanks a ton for sharing, I'll definitely be following this!

Looks really interesting. Should be a nice companion piece to all of Wajda's work! I'll definitely be looking out for this, hopefully I'll even make it to Warsaw one day. Edit: what a cool film The Cathedral is. If Hardkor44 is anything like that quality it should be fantastic. Very Polish looking film, reminded me enormously of the art of Zdzislaw Beksinski.

Actualy Cathedral is based on a short story by a Polish sci-fi author. It's going to be a movie. Most likely full CGI, though I heard Sin City like format is possible too. The project will most certainly happen as I saw that the funds had been already assigned to it.
Matt, yeah, one of my grandfathers was in the guerilla in the bike division (and not a motor bike division) while my grandma (here's almost a movie story) was a courier in the Uprising, she married her boyfriend, one of the commanders, a night before a big action. She never saw him again, never found his body either. Later on she got captured and ran away from the train to the concetration camp.
She could never ever go to any Uprising anniversary celebrations with me as the memories, 65 years after, are still so vivid.
