Nice grime on the back of the uniform, and the decoration on the front looks interesting, too.
I really need to get off my hiney and paint my own Bounty figs.

Ok so I was a complete idiot and signed up for something called iron painter. 2 weeks to paint a theme and then one week to get judged in a head to head competition. The theme for the first round is "My Hero". So my Idea is a us GI possibly 2 sneaking under a German gun emplacement. One will be stepping back to lob a grenade over the razor wire and sand bags with the other one if I add one hugging the wall trying to keep from being seen or in the blast. Mini is there for size comparison only. I wanted to be care full of making it to tall for the photo portion as I don't want to obscure any thing from the soldiers side but at an angle of the gun emplacement not be able to see the man hugging the wall. Sanding and smoothing will be done tonight. If at the end any one would be interested the little vignette will be placed on auction by the Wamp Forums as part of the Little Angels charity drive they are running. I will give specifics on that once I have full detials.

Make sure to do a tutorial on how you did the sandbags. They look great.

Bleck idea hit a bump my buddy lied to me he had starter set airborne models so not a grenade thrower in the bunch. May try and greenstuff in one of the russian grenade throwing arms in if I can. Not sure what to do with left arm though might have to just put a pistol in it.

Todays work: changed uniform color, re-added painted razor wire, over all weathering effects, lots of praying. Oh and I didn't forget about him

A good trick to try for the metal on Historical weapons is to paint them black and than use a #2 pencil as your paint for the metal. Just use the point of the pencil and mark up the black. It gives it a toned down look to the metal. You can than add some highlights with paint if you want.
