1.) I first saw AE-WWII models at GenCon in 2007. All I remember was a funky looking gorilla and some German chicks with gasmasks. I later rediscovered the game through TGN. 2.) I haven't actually played any games yet. I'm still trying to convince my brother that there are games out there other than those made by GW 3.) Kinda answered by 2, but I would like to try it. 4.) Good looking, and quality, miniatures. Easy to understand and (mostly) unambiguous rules. Inclusion of monkeys and apes. EDIT: I noticed you could only pick one option in the poll above, so I went with the one I've played most.

1.) How did you find out about AE-WWII? Tabletop Gaming News
2.) How many models do you typically play with in a single game of AE-WWII? About 14-16, right now my force is an SS Infantry detachment thats waiting for me to finish painting it
3.) Have you ever played with the rules for multiple detachments in Over the Wire #1? No - not horribly interested (and not enough minis ready to go) but its nice to have the option
4.) What is most important to you when choosing to play a table top miniature war game? Good focused rules (right now) closely followed by evocative miniatures

1.) How did you find out about AE-WWII? Was it through word of mouth, a convention, a website, or Tabletop Gaming News?
I believe it was through a gaming forum.
2.) How many models do you typically play with in a single game of AE-WWII?
It really depends I've got several detachments and they can change from game to game. Usually though I play with about 9-11 models. We have a player in our group however that plays with up wards of 18-20
3.) Have you ever played with the rules for multiple detachments in Over the Wire #1?
No, not yet. Though I imagine it will happen in the future.
4.) What is most important to you when choosing to play a table top miniature war game?
I needs to inspire me. Be that through models, or fluff, or artwork. Secondly a active and open development staff willing to interact with and listen to its player base (this usually takes care of any issue's with the clear concise rules portion of a why play a game post). Finally, I really like keywords in games I think it gives flexibility without having to remember 30 variations on 1 rule and the accompanying rules interpretations.
Bonus round:
Your poll only has the option to choose one game so I've chosen the most recent game I've been playing Malifaux. I still play 40k and Fantasy (having 9 different army's between the 2 systems), Mordheim, necromunda, gorka morka, Man-o-war, bloodbowl, Pirates, Clix, Monpoc, and axis and allies miniature's (as well as the original board game).

1.) How did you find out about AE-WWII? I found out through the local gaming store - word of mouth by the Bill - the guy behind the counter.
2.) How many models do you typically play with in a single game of AE-WWII? Depends on the detachment. Average10-14
3.) Have you ever played with the rules for multiple detachments in Over the Wire #1? No, but I would be interested to try the rules out in an Axis vs. Allies game with multiple people.
4.) What is most important to you when choosing to play a table top miniature war game? Clear concise rules and communication. Follow that by great minis and I'll be hooked.

Yeah, I noticed that the poll only let's you make one selection. I think that's a limit of the form in the board set-up. Or I'm an idiot. Either is a strong possibility Check which game you play the most, or include the list of games you like to play on a regular basis. Keep the responses coming! This is good stuff so far.

As for the poll, I own and have played, like, eight or more of the other options on the list. The only games I have really played this year are AE-WWII and Pulp City and Malifaux.
1.) How did you find out about AE-WWII?
TGN plus word of mouth. A demo at a local store was the tipping point.
2.) How many models do you typically play with in a single game of AE-WWII?
Uh, fifteen-ish? I own a LOT more, because I like options, of course.
3.) Have you ever played with the rules for multiple detachments in Over the Wire #1?
Not yet. But I want to.
4.) What is most important to you when choosing to play a table top miniature war game?
'Fun' is the copout answer, so I will go with rules that streamline play without oversimplifying. And yes, this is something that I think Darkson has really gotten right.

1.) How did you find out about AE-WWII? I found Darkson minis while browsing the Warstore one day and have been hooked ever since. 2.) How many models do you typically play with in a single game of AE-WWII? I run about 10 to 16ish, German SD of course. I am going to try a small elite Sturm monkey experimental detachment of 5 minis some day... Just need to find a Herman von Klempt mini, or make one, and more big monkies with bionics 3.) Have you ever played with the rules for multiple detachments in Over the Wire #1? Not yet... 4.) What is most important to you when choosing to play a table top miniature war game? Quality. Awesome minis and fluff, clear aesthetics in the publications and visual designs... And of course, a good game system to enjoy the elements with. Also very important in my book: an element of creativity on the players part. AE's story-scenario component is a good example, but also the way detachments can be set up. Stuff like SOTR's vehicle design system is always awesome, too. ...Ok I'll admit that sometimes just cool minis will get me playing something... I answered 'other' in the poll cause my main game is Confrontation 3.x and Confrontation Dogs of War. I also play Secrets of the Third Reich, Malifaux, Flames of War, and intend on buying Hell Dorado when that gets re-released.

1.) How did you find out about AE-WWII? Word of mouth, from someone who is a big TGN fan!
2.) How many models do you typically play with in a single game of AE-WWII? As few as possible, usually 3-4 models and a vehicle, not including vehicle crew.
3.) Have you ever played with the rules for multiple detachments in Over the Wire #1? No. I'd rather stick to the small games. I felt the same about Warmachine (I'll add +1 to that on your poll, too, by the way). Having small, quick games was much more to my liking than large unwieldy games like 1500+ points of 40K. I was always a Killteam man, myself.
4.) What is most important to you when choosing to play a table top miniature war game? Ease of entry, low(er) price tag, good rules, good writing... AE has it all.

1.) How did you find out about AE-WWII?
I think through Frothers or TGN, or some other tabletop forum.
2.) How many models do you typically play with in a single game of AE-WWII?
Around 10 to 12 for each detatchments.
3.) Have you ever played with the rules for multiple detachments in Over the Wire #1?
No. At the rate I paint it would take years!
4.) What is most important to you when choosing to play a table top miniature war game?
Fun, streamlined, characterful, with some element of role play or development of individuals. Distinct look and identity for each force.

Only picking one game at the top was difficult. I played FOW on and off, as well as Mordhiem, Necromunda, Space Hulk, and the various Warhammers. I also played the hell out of Deadlands in it's various forms including the rpg, the miniatures game, the ccg and even the disk game. In the end I picked Warhammer because that is the game I played the most prior to finding AE and I still do occasionally (easiest to find opponents.) 1.) How did you find out about AE-WWII? Was it through word of mouth, a convention, a website, or Tabletop Gaming News? It was from a number of sources. I found the templates first looking for scenery for Necromunda. Later that week I found it on a list of the most under-rated war-games. After hearing about it from several different places I checked out the official page and was hooked. I got the rule book first and the minis shortly there after.
2.) How many models do you typically play with in a single game of AE-WWII? It all depends on the detachment. I have a Vet detachment that only has 11 guys and then I have an Infantry that has 17.
3.) Have you ever played with the rules for multiple detachments in Over the Wire #1? No, but they intrigue me.
4.) What is most important to you when choosing to play a table top miniature war game? The rules mostly. Community support is also a big deal. GW seems almost hostile toward it's fans. Darkson, on the other hand, has the best community support I've ever seen. The minis are very nice as well along with an amazing back story that mixes several of my passions: history, sci-fi, and horror.

1.) How did you find out about AE-WWII? Was it through word of mouth, a convention, a website, or Tabletop Gaming News?
I remember seeing the initial Soviet special edition online, then I had the pleasure of meeting the Darkson crew at Gencon Socal. From there, it was only a matter of time before I picked up all the minis.
2.) How many models do you typically play with in a single game of AE-WWII?
Between 8 and 15, depending on the detachment.
3.) Have you ever played with the rules for multiple detachments in Over the Wire #1?
Yes. The game really shines at the 2-detachment level.
4.) What is most important to you when choosing to play a table top miniature war game?
The setting. If I can get "into" the feel of the game, I'll probably play it. Next would be attractive figures.
