Using the existing Troop and Hero types what Superheros can you create for use in AE?
What figure would you use for the Hero?

I have a handful of ideas I've been playing with for a while, it's mostly a matter of getting time squared away on the painting table.

On my table after I get some work done on a few projects is a British detachment based on Hellboy, the Wild Hunt using an infantry detachment
Hellboy: Elite MoAA agent w/Axe of Stamford, Fang of the Lambdon Worm and Pendant of warding.
Professor "Broom": Veteran British Chaplain, Order of Light hero.
The Noble Dead of Brittania: Counter cultists.
Throw some regular British commonwealth guys in there and a heavy weapon and you're good to go.
The noble dead are part dryad/trees with skeleton bits and armor or swords. All coming from the good ol' bitz box.
Professor "Broom" is a Darkson Druid with some reposing and extra scultping on the head to get the hair right.
Hellboy is a Clix figure but I considered using the Skinwalker as a basis for some conversion work because the pose is so close and a green stuff over coat would cover most of the seams in the conversion.
Happy New Year,
Chris

Oh, one more idea : the golden age Green Lantern!
I can probably put this guy together with some stuff from my bitz box and the Darkson OSS agent. The one head option is an easy place to put the mask.
Elite MoAA agent: Hand of Glory, Holy Sword, Pendant of Warding, War Hero.

Not precisely superheroes... but Considering getting a (2004 movie version) Van Helsing and Friar Carl to use an an MOAA operative (holy sword, fang of lmbton, magic book) and priest (to bless his 'crossbow' shots). Did you ever find your Van Helsing and Carl miniatures, I only ask because Masquerade Miniatures do them (I have them myself LoL). Artemis Blacks in the UK have some left (I think) - as Masquerade have knocked the Mini's on the head Artemis is your only chance (apart from maybe Ebay). www.artemisblacks.com/masquerade.shtmlAlso, your idea is suprisingly close to the truth . . . . Did you know that a British spy inspired Stoker's vampire slayer The inspiration for the vampire slayer in Bram Stoker's Dracula spied for the British government for decades according to previously secret documents. Arriving in Britain after travels across central Asia, Hungarian born Professor Arminius Vambery enthralled many - including Stoker - with stories of his adventures and particularly tales of blood-sucking fiends from Transylvania. But documents kept secret for decades and finally released on Thursday by Britain's National Archives reveal another side to the Russian-hating anglophile. Vambery, a scholar and linguist, for 20 years until his death in 1913 gave the British government information on Russian colonial ambitions, advised on British foreign policy in Central Asia and encouraged the improvement of Anglo-Turkish relations. "His knowledge of Islam and the customs, ethnography and philology of the Ottoman and Persian Empires facilitated his access to both the Sultan and the Shah, and earned him the respect of British statesmen and diplomats," Foreign Office historian Keith Hamilton told Reuters. The documents show that Vambery was paid 500 pounds to make Turkish and Arabic contacts in Constantinople (now Istanbul) on a mission linked to the British occupation of Egypt. "His contribution to the making and conduct of British foreign policy still requires further research and scholarly assessment," Hamilton said. "But the Foreign Office could at least count itself fortunate that in one respect it had made a small profit from Vambery's life," he added. Vambery was only paid on an ad hoc basis from 1889 despite regularly pleading to be granted a salary. It was the implicit threat to make public these letters and the British rebuttals that finally tipped the balance and persuaded the government in 1911 to pay him an annual pension of 140 pounds in exchange for the correspondence. After news of Vambery's death, the National Debt Office refunded one quarter of the pension to the government official who had been personally responsible for paying it. "In death, as in life, money mattered," Hamilton said. Weird Huh?

My current mini-project is a Super-Hero'ish type for my British force. A meek professor whos psyche became trapped in the body of a golem after a ritual went horribly wrong (the usual angsty Hero origin!).
MoAA Operative with the Brute hero type, armed with a torn off Panzer barrel (Axe of Stamford) and similarly obtained turret hatch (Royal Shield).
I picture him striding around the battlefield taking great delight wrecking everything and getting revenge for years of abuse as a fragile, hollow chested bookworm.
Hopefully some WIP pics soon.
