So using the Hero types and Troop types from AE-WWII what would this count as? Very cool idea and great painting.

Thanks! ;D without the Occult book, I was thinking of representing this SS officer as an SD agent for his stats and especially for the inspire terror ability, which seems very appropriate for him and the black armor, and then to give him an armor boost to 6, but axe his ability to become a hero as compensation.
He works as a SchutzKommando in Heavy Vril armor as well!

I barely missed last months deadline, so I made sure I barely made this months! I have been wanting to paint my Germans up for awhile, so i thought this would be a good way to get me motivated. Here is my Wehrmacht Sniper. He is an Assassin. I did a lot of looking around the web to make sure I got his cammo right for late war Wehrmacht snipers. I didnt want him decked out in the SS cammo, as I have another I will be using for my SS sniper. I think it turned out decent.

Looking good, silentbob. The camo scheme looks good. Any chance of a photo from the other side as well?

Here's to the fun of researching painting related things! I concur with Cybogob, I'd like to see another angle too to check out the camo better. Nicely done though!

Here is the back view. And here is the style I was going for. My colors are a bit darker, but it is close.

Oh yeah, that's the good stuff. Very nice approximation of the actual scheme, too. It really looks like he's been hiding in a forest waiting for Allies to come by.

Oo, like him. I really need to use that head to make a "Driver" from the Commandos video game series.
My Druid should be up Saturday or Sunday.

Very cool with the hat and color choice he has a very USMC feel to him. This will be useful as Marines are covered in Europe, The Eastern Front, and the Pacific.

Nice stuff guys! Almost at the wire, here's a mini much more appropriate for the contest than my last one. Its a Darkson mini to boot, and an Officer from the geneticists army list in the core book (though I run them as straight Heer, no abominations) and is usually a War Hero type hero. Some fluff for fun: General Otto von Rhitter is a two time winner of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross, and considered among the heroes of Normandy. Von Rhitter is no stranger to the front lines, and regularly keeps track of his men very closely, even calling them his children. His constant presence and concern has created a close bond with the troops under his command, earning him the nickname of "Der Vater," the Father. His grenadiers fight zealously to earn his favor. Von Rhitter is also well respected among his peers in the German command staff, both for his tactics and their results, but also in part because of his noble birth and family. He is the stoic experience that balances the often brilliant recklessness of the commanding officer he serves as close advisor to, Generaloberst Josef Aldermann. Von Rhitter is convinced the leadership and battle plans of the young Aldermann were the reason for success in Operation Wacht am Rhein in regards to containing the Allied invasion from the south of France. As such, von Rhitter has put considerable time and effort into backing Aldermann's position and bringing his plans to fruition, even using his considerable personal family fortune to do so. The fruit of this is thus far the SGS armored suit, which has been issued to one crack unit under von Rhitter's command. It is a testament to Aldermann's connections and charisma, as well as von Rhitter's dogged determination to see things through, that — although the two officers are humble soldiers of the Heer — they have been able to appropriate SD technicians to work on their own projects, and were even able to secure SS project funding. However, their dealings have made the two men the targets of much resentment for usurping their positions... Von Rhitter and Aldermann continued with their work even while they campaigned in France, though their soldiers benefitted from their presence and attention less and less. They were preparing. 15 suits were completed by the time the Fuehrer himself called for a demonstration. The SGS armor pleased the Fuehrer enough that he requested suits for the use of the SS 1st Division Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler. For field testing their utility in urban warfare, Hitler also sent the remaining SGS armor to the Russian Front. In the wake of the official endorsement, accusations were quickly, quietly made that Aldermann was planning on using the SGS troopers in the Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler to either assassinate or capture the Fuehrer and assume control of the Reich. Within days of Hitler's visit to the testing grounds, Hitler backtracked his support for Aldermann and von Rhitter. A further blow came when a French resistance cell destroyed the foundry that had been producing the armor, and all the special machinery the appropriated SD technicians had developed along with it. The 15 suits are, for the time being, all there is, and with their work set back months, if not longer, Aldermann's vision of whole divisions wearing the armor and marching into combat unharmed by virtually all small arms fire seems to be nothing but that—a dream. As it stands, 4 suits remain in von Rhitter's hands. Of the 6 that were to be worn by members of the Lebstandarte Adolf Hitler, 5 have been seized by the SS. The final 5 were shipped immediately to the Russian Front to the care of the Kriegsmarshall himself. One remains unaccounted for entirely... Lost in the sudden reshuffling... And here is General von Rhitter himself:
