The owners of this forum have generously invited me to post news about my 28mm-30mm paper model ruins that should be suitable for bombed-out cities in AE-WWII games. You can find all of my models on DavesGames.Net, and purchase them through Ecardmodels, the Wargame Vault, RPGNow and DriveThruRPG. My models are sold as PDFs that you print and assemble yourself. Most of my ruins feature multi-layered PDFs, giving you a choice of several surface textures. You can print each model over and over and choose a different look every time. They're easy to build, requiring just some sheets of cardstock to print on, a hobby knife and ordinary paper glue. Here are the ruins sets that I'm currently offering, and I'll be designing more ruins for the foreseeable future: SPLIT RUINMulti-layered PDFs, as well as 1 set of single-layered PDF for your printing convenience TOWER RUINMulti-layered PDFs, as well as 1 set of single-layered PDF for your printing convenience
TALL RUINMulti-layered PDFs, as well as 1 set of single-layered PDF for your printing convenience
CORNER RUINSingle-layered PDFs only, offering just one look

These would be great for my LGF since the only city table we have is a 40k table. And for about five bucks a model! I'll definitely pick some up.

Out of curiosity, how sturdy are the floors? They look a little flimsy, but probably strong enough to hold an average trooper.

Thanks for taking a look, gang! I really appreciate it. I recommend using the heaviest cardstock you can print on, which is about 110# weight, or about as thick as a business card. The floors are made of two sheets of that paper glued back-to-back, which is sturdier than you might expect. They'll hold the weight of several plastic minis without bending at all. The weight of several metal minis will bend the floors, though, so I always include some support columns that you can use to help prop up the floors where they're most likely to bend. That seems to do the trick. Because the models are just made out of cardstock and don't have a lot of weight overall, it's a good idea to attach their bases to foamcore or place a few bits of heavier scenery on the base to prevent them from accidentally sliding during play.

Awesome, I have suckered the wife into doing a buildup with me on the weekend.
110# = 110 GSM?

Here's my latest model, the Wrecked House. It offers walls in a choice of red bricks, brown bricks and stone. You can add a plaster-and-beam overlay to the walls, and an optional wood attic. The roofs come in a choice of thatch, slate tiles and wood shingles, and there are lots of little extra goodies.

Love these ones. Your intact buildings are very nice too - I just need to slap some German flags on them and I'm ready to sic some GIs against a bunch of SD holdouts.

Thanks for the feedback. I really hope you find them useful. Here's my latest model, the Ruined Wall. This should be a pretty handy bit of terrain for your skirmish gaming. It's a multi-layered model like the other ruins I've been doing lately, and here I've chosen two different looks that are possible.

Dave could you do a German/Europe sign kit to add to your buildings? That would add even more flavor to the tables for a lot of WWII players.
