Ive been pretty much out of the loop AE wise as I try to focus on a project and some minor commission painting but I just finished an interesting book I thought I'd pass along. Its Ghosts of the ETO by Jonathan Gawne and it covers tactical deception units used by the US Army. Most everyone has heard of the dummy tanks and stuff used during the build up for Normandy, but that's about it. This book delves into as much as it can (it seems there is still quite a bit that the unit it focused on did that is still classified) and is pretty interesting just to see how some of the deception plans worked. Additional the Appendix that covers an alternate explanation of the why behind some of Patton's public humiliation and punishments raises some interesting questions.

I remember watching some show on History Channel, I think it was called Secrets of WWII. It talked about the British government hiring a magician to advise them on making optical illusions and decoys.
