Hi, I thought the people on the board would appreciate this info. I am comics guy, and have been one for a long time. And each time FCBD comes around it makes me smile. This year, on Saturday, May 1st, almost every American comic book shop, and plenty of others around the world, will be giving books away for free. Go visit a local shop and see what it's all about. Free Comic Book Day is just about the coolest thing an industry has ever done to promote itself in the community. If you haven't ever participated in it, go to a local shop and check it out. My kids love it and we make a big day of it together. Some places really do it up. Others are more low key and you get to hang out with long time fans and talk about old stories and new. If you can't get to a shop, because you're in the field or have some other committment, check out HeavyInk.com. There are other websites you can buy comics and graphic novels from cheaper, but this place has really good service and an interesting approach to business. The guys running it seem really cool too. The link for the FCBD Stuff on their site is: heavyink.com/fcbdIf nothing else, it's a chance to pick up some Atomic Robo and GI Joe for free. How could anyone resist that? Cheers, Chris

My backpack is extra-heavy today as a result (even though I'm there to pick up free stuff, I always find a way to spend money too.)
