The first book of my WWWII novel series, The Secret Files of Lucky Ford, Mission I: The Dragon, the Wolf, and the Maiden has entered the editing phase. The website is up, mostly just a bit of background information on the characters and situation. Artwork is in progress, so the site will have a little more sizzle in the coming weeks. The series is written with a historical eye, but is more of a tribute to pulp action and science fiction. As for classifying it as any kind of weird war sub-genre, I'd have to say it is most definitely exclusively super-science based. Genetic freaks, wunderwaffen, the whole lot. You won't see any wizards, no magic or zombies or dragons. There may be some vampyrs, but not the blood-sucky kind. I can promise a cast of crazy characters and non-stop intrigue and action. Swing by www.UnusualOccurrences.com to give her a look-see, so far we have two articles up in the ongoing series The World of Lucky Ford, updated Mondays and Fridays. Come back for repeat business, there will be something new every time you check. Like UnusualOccurrences.com on Facebook for notifications when we update. Thanks guys, I think you'll like this.

So I know I haven't popped my head up in a while, but I just thought somebody would like an update. The Secret Files is going to the printer today (!) and will be ready to rock and roll soon as that ink dries. Check out the website, and if you aren't excited yet, take a look at the full-size poster by Dudu Torres.

I just DL'd this into my wife's Kindle a few nights ago after finishing up the ERB Collection of John Carter of Mars novels. I'm only into the first few chapters but looks to be a good read.

I finished this up last night.
Not bad. Not as dark and gritty as AE-WWII, much more pulp in fact rather comic book pulp. I liked the Lucky Ford character and the characters from Office of Cataloging Unusual Occurrences. Seems to remind me of a line-up from Sgt. Fury and the Howling Commandos. Wasn't too keen on the villian characters, seemed a bit shallow and cliche'd, but then it's comic book pulp.
If you like Sgt Fury and the old WWII comic books, you'll like this book.
I'm actually looking forward to finding out more about Lt. Miller.
