Way to go! Suck it up! ;D I attended my second Gen Con a week after a hernia surgery, and was walking around with a second hernia that they missed. Seriously though, take it easy and don't push yourself. I was lucky enough that all the guys were carrying my luggage and all my gaming stuff to and from the hotel for me. However I ended up cancelling out a number of events because I was either in a lot of pain or really numbed out from the pain meds. I spent quite a bit of time watching the other guys stuff for them while I relaxed. So don't go alone, travel lightly and keep your schedule flexible. Tom, You rock it hardcore, no doubt. But in this case, Maurice's injuries are fictional. And the cause of the injuries are his friends offering to sell various body parts in order to get money or access to gaming events. So to recap: Maurice is OK. His friends have put up ads for his kidneys on eBay. Tom rocks. And GenCon will be a blast this year Chris

I appreciate the concern and express sympathy for your hernia grit! As it stands, I'm in for Secret Wars and any/all after-hours challenges. Participation in Lightning Wars and the Competitive Campaign will depend on the status of the booth.

I didn't sign up for any of the tournament or campaign games. But, I am bringing my ARPA and SD detachments and looking for some pickup / after-hours games.
Do you know if you guys are going to be back in the miniatures room like you were two years ago, or if you will be back upstairs like you were last year?

I have next week all off. I think I'm even going to remove the batteries from the company cell phone.
Then I'll have time to finish up some minis, unload the Aztek, clean out the Aztek, and pack my stuff.

Not sure where we will be at look for the TTG guys and ask them. Or listen for the people who sound like they are having fun while playing a miniature game. Yes I went there.

Playing Germans for the Competetive Campaign this time. I'll throw in Americans too as back-up.

It should be called Comp Time for all the unpaid OT I've put in over the past few months.
I'm catching up on the stuff I should have been doing at home over the past few weeks, and then packing for Gen Con.

Have the day and time of the comp campaign been changed just recently? No big deal, I am still in, but just noticed that by accident.
