I'm pretty sure you get two more dirty tricks with a two-man crew. This is the crew from the bat rep, yeah?

Actually, it's three dirty tricks.
Anyways, I'm wondering why you took a Logician? If I took him in a two man crew, I'd probably make him a master mentalist. Also, since you seem to be going for non-lethal, maybe shock gloves on the nikkar? Or is the pike just because that's how the model is equipped?

Well the pike does give him CC 7 which coupled with S7 and melee master is very nasty.

The +2 to CC for pikes is only to disengage from close combat.

I guess he just is using the Logican as a sniper to back up the CC killer.

Basically I'm just using the minis I have. The logician was the freebie with the book, and the nikkar was going to be the captain of the merc crew's companion (think Chewie...). So it wasn't optimized at all. I liked the marksman option, especially on an elite model with an accurate weapon, since it leaves reduces the amount of AP I need to spend to hit something (don't have to worry about the long range option under Aim). I'd rather have the long distance option, although it was pretty meager in the battle rep I posted! I forgot about the dirty tricks -actually, I think we both forgot about them for all three of the games we played!

The +2 to CC for pikes is only to disengage from close combat. Err, not if you read the whole paragraph. Quote: 'A pike adds two to the Close Combat score of the model carrying it, for the purposes of close combat. A model armed with a pike also gains a +2 bonus to attack rolls made to disengage from close combat' So it both gives a +2 bonus in combat and when trying to disengage.

Fair enough, I missed that. And I missed the word "more" in GI Joker's post. I guess my mind is going... going... going...
And thanks for sharing your thoughts on the crew, Cillionelle.

No worries. I'm looking forward to trying out three Arges headtakers tonight!
