Apologies for the blurriness in some of the pics. It was the best my cell phone could do! Here are a few shots from the Con, I included some from the event in general instead of just AE stuff so that people who haven't been there can get a feel for it.
I was a huge Magic: The Gathering fan and player in highschool. I get a big kick out of seeing the large scale statues of the characters from the cards.
The kids and crafts area at GenCon. We had a free paint and take at the booth, but the craft area was something else. Ditto for the huge climbing spire you see in the back ground. I'm still thinking about bringing my kids. Not sure whether it would be fun for them if I have to work as much next year!
Another MTG statue. Very cool way to greet you as you enter the gaming hall.
Fight for a cause set-up!
A cool heavily done up table for Reaper Warlord in the auxiliary gaming area. The HVAC played havoc with us all weekend. I found out that these guys were in the best situation, they could easily get back and forth to the dealer halls at the con, had way better lighting and didn't have to cope with the bone dry air in the exhibition hall. These aren't complaints Rob! Just observations ;D
Set-up and play for the AE-Bounty Salvage mission in scenario 1 of the campaign.
Set-up for the AE-Bounty gunfight scenario. We need tumbleweeds to blow across the clearing next year. Not the tanks, the real ones
The arrival of the Pulp City and MaxMini banners was treated like the parade of nations at the Olympics. Maciej (aka Morf) made a run with it up and down the hall floor after it was put together. Rob, maybe we should do a con banner relay next year?
Set-up and play for the Secret Wars scenarios in the terrible lair of the nefarious Dr. Chang Lee Wong.
AE-WWII Competitive campaign photos.
Really blurry booth shot, perhaps due to the shear awesomeness that was radiating from the wall of blisters for Pulp City, Helldorado, AE-WWII and AE-Bounty.
My favorite finds of the con were some great games for my kids and some figs to use in proxying new crews and factions in our games. And the Ulthars. I loves me my new Pulp City Ulthars. I can't wait for next year.
Cheers,
Chris
