So I played my first AE WWII game on Friday. Had a good time but wow Drive loss SUCKS!! I kind of knew it was an issue but didn't really appreciate how big of an issue it was until I saw it action. So I've gone back the drawing board and come up with this Experimental List. Any feed back is more than welcome.
E - OSS agent (excentric millionare hero) V - Airborn Officer (Natural Leader hero) R - Buffulo (Tesla Cannon) R - Rocket Troops (Thompsons) R - Rocket Troops (Tesla Pistol) G - Robot Soldiers G - Traded for extra Hero
Keep in mind my main opponent is likely fielding an ROA army with a wide selection of gibbering horrors and other horrible beasties. So what do you think?

It looks like you've got an extra Vet and extra Regular in this list.
Since this is an experimental list, I would drop the Mechanic - they're really not all that good, and I only take them when I need to unlock a Tesla unit in a non-experimental list.
I like the two unit of Rocket troopers - They're very maneuverable and can cause lots of trouble for your enemies.
If you're fighting a lot of spawn/beast of the apocalypse models, the advice I'd give is that I've learned to hate models that have the Regeneration attribute. You might want units that can do two damage at once - to kill the spawns in one shot. If you had a German list I would say to take a Lethal sniper, but a marksman sniper might be worth a shot.

I played a game just today with an experimental list. I used 3 Buffalos (1 tesla and 2 brownings) , and kept the green slot for a GI team to backup the robots. Worked very well , I thought.

My list was off. I think I was combining a Vet and an Experimental detachement in my head. Fixed the first post so it's legal.

I've played some games with an American Experimental detachment and I always choose the Mechanic when play with a Buffalo because the Buffalo is very Slow and can't sprint/charge so every turn my Mechanic transfer AP's to it You could also select the Technician Hero type because it gives you a free Robot Trooper squad Natural Leader hero type is a good choice because of command ability Hope my experience will be useful And question. What Special Orders have you chosen? Remember that Excentric Millionaire gives you an additional order

Well being an Experimental detachment gives limited choice on the Special Orders. I'm thinking Co-ordinated Fire, and Take Cover.
Should I equip the OSS Agent with Lighting Grenades? Can't see why not?

Can't see why not? Looks good. And the tesla grenades would be fun against the ROA. Coordinated Fire is great too, especially with the rocket troopers. Give it a try and let us know how it comes out. Cheers, Chris

So got to use this list against a Russian Support list tonight. We played Forage Unplanned mission. Rockets with high mobility were fantastic. Of course the light armor didn't help in the face of Machine Guns and Morter fire. Hero of the day was the OSS agent a single lighting grenade killed off 6 russian conscripts! HOLY COW 3" AOE is Massive! Plus I rolled max Strength on the hit. The two units of Conscripts got bottlenecked between a pair of buildings. OSS agents appears round 1 takes a few shots at the conscripts, then kills off a Soviet Anti-Tank gun crew. Second round grenade bang dead troops! Then the Pollitruk killed him with a grenade. Still he gets my Medal of Honor for this game.
